gabapentin and pregabalin lost their magic?

hey all, I have a question concerning gabapentin (Neurontin) and pregabalin (lyrica)

it seems lately, these substances have lost their magic, or pretty much lost all effect at all. I can take up to 4000 of gaba and over 2000 of pregabalin and all I will get is these weird twitch-stutter type ticks where ill have a twitch in my vocal cords or something while im talking and people either think I am coughing or half sneezing or think I am just stuttering.

has anyone else noticed a loss of high or effect with this drug after taken it in recreational doses around 20 times? I always wait at least a week between recreational doses and I have tried taking the dose all at once and have tried dosing a fraction of my total dose every 2-3 hours, to no avail.

what is going on? I used to have the most wonderful euphoric highs from both of these drugs (gaba more so then pregabalin though) but now I don't seem to get much if anything off these substances.

any help or answers would be much appreciated, cause I want to figure out whats going on.

Yes, they certainly do lose their "magic". Magic meaning the wealth of desired effects that these drugs can provide. Everyone seems to experience and interpret these drugs in different ways. For instance, I get euphoria, energy, faster thinking and reasoning (almost like stimulants) and the best effect(s) is the almost complete mitigation of opioid withdrawal symptoms.

I've found that I cannot take either more than 2 days in a row, lest I experience severely blunted effects from either. Tolerance just builds super quickly. I think this could be the caveat leads to its classification of C5. They are great drugs with a variety of positive effects, but their effectiveness is mediated greatly by frequency and dose. I'd recommend a drug "holiday" before resuming your use of either of these drugs. You will get much more bang for your buck if you make your use occasional, or in the very least, with breaks in between.

This always scares the hell out of me. They have lost their magic for me as well, I mainly use pregabalain and have reached doses of 4500mg throughout the course of the day or 3000mg at once. I try to take at least a we off and I will regain some of the magic.

Those two drugs are kinda notorious for how quickly the body develops a tolerance. I like them both tho, esp Lyrica. A little gabapentin with some kratom made me feel like I was speeding

I've tried gabapentin 3 times all of them upwards of 5 grams and gotten nothing, literally nothing out of it. Do most people get effects, or is it common to get nothing out of it?

Lyrica has just lost its magic for me too, I can't get anything out of it any longer. Best thing to do now is taper down and abstain from use altogether. Do it in a safe way though honey. That's what I'm planning to do.

What's the point in shovelling loads of capsules down our necks with little to no return. Get rid and I'm sure we are going to be feeling much better when we do x

I took gabapentin for months and eventually got pain relief but NEVER got any kind of high or euphoria from it whatsoever. Granted I wasn't eating high doses as discussed here but it never even occured to me to try that as it never gave me any pleasant feelings. Sure did give me some severe side effects though, even at a low dose. My interest is peaked though at the mention of withdrawal symptom relief. Any reading this who has experienced this can you tell us what dosage you needed to achieve this. I've got some leftover 300s and it'd sure be nice to have something to help with withdrawals if I run into them other than Xanax.
