Buspar for anxiety?

Let's hear your experience with the infamous anxiety medication named buspirone. I keep having sleep paralysis and major anxiety that lasts all day and this is what I get. My doc doesnt want to write a benzo just yet and I have a sleep study to go through. Anxiety is everyday but SP is only a few times a month if I'm lucky sometimes a few days in a row (scary shit). I still feel the same but would like to hear from someone who has been on it long term. Does it help and what are your concerns or problems/side effects with it?
 
buspar gave me nothing but dizzy spells after 2 months i tossed the shit in the trash which i shouldve done in the first place
to me its like a ssri on training wheels
try lexapro or prozac if you do get benzos for the initial come up of the ssri only get a small amount after the medication kicks in you are not suppose to need benzos anymore well YMMV
most likely your gonna feel like shit during the first week or 2 while your brain gets used to the ssri but it will go away
good luck seriously dont take the shit i would just say the dizziness was to intense and get something else
 
I don't think I've ever heard anybody say good things about Buspar, either the side-effects were annoying or (more common) it did nothing.
 
I gave Buspar a try for my anxiety for 1 month. It did absolutely nothing, so I decided to not bother refilling it.

That's what I did a few months back so now my doc put me back on it. I don't feel like he understands the way I feel and I'd hate to go see a new doc because i tried it once and they wanted me to redo all of the tests that I've already done so Ill be restarting all over again.
 
After a horrible experience I told my doc I never want to try an SSRI again. Paxil felt like it nearly killed me and increased anxiety
 
I noticed that today its making me roid rage. I got pissed off at a dude who repeated my order too slow at a drive thru and I was like wtf? I also lost my sense of smell and taste.... Idk what I'm gonna do. This sucks ass
