MDMA overdose?

I was at a festival with a friend over a week ago and the friend tried MDMA for maybe the first or second time. She took a few tokes of a spliff and was drinking vodka too then after about an hour got into all sorts of problems and was rushed off to hospital with respiratory arrest and I don't really know what happened after that. She had taken two dabs of MDMA to start with and took another dab later on in the evening. Could this be an MDMA overdose? It doesn't seem like she took enough for this to be an overdose but how else could the health problems be explained? I was really worried. :?

We don't do SWIM here, we know it's you :)

No, if you would have overdose you would still be in the hospital, trust me. You had to take like... I don't know, a FUCKING lot to overdose from MDMA.

Sounds like a panic attack to me. You took a big dose (two tabs in one sit), so perhaps your body overreacted.

How are you feeling now?

Oh dw it wasn't me who it happened to. 'SWIM' just provided the gear and got shit scared hearing the paramedics say 'respiratory arrest' and 'overdose'.

I think she's alright. Just a bit embarrassed. It looked a little worse than just a panic attack though. 8(

A dab is really not an accurate measure of how much she took. I doubt that she OD'd on MDMA.
 
I also heard that liqour and MDMA is not a good combo. Havent tried yet, I just heard from other people

Correct me if I am wrong.

Well while alcohol+MDMA it can cause blackouts, some weird behaviour and general messiness it shouldn't cause respiratory arrest and hospitalization if you don't drink yourself stupid or take a heavy MDMA OD. lillysto tell your friend that in case she wants to try again (unlikely, and understandably so) she absolutely has to buy a testkit and test everything she takes. There is no way around this, except for sending a sample in to a lab for analysis. There's no telling what caused this but it's very possible she bought adulterated drugs, though there are other possibilities. Some medication can have serious interactions with MDMA that land you in the hospital (like some anti-depressants) and also some other drugs when combined with MDMA

I hope she is doing better now? Sounds like a terrifying experience :\
