A) It's not just the Lib Dems, Michael Meacher* and Lord Howarth are both Labour peers

B) 'Party political' is not really how the Lords works.

By all means keep the touch paper lit but hold off on the burning for a little while yet.

It's a step forward, that there are people out there who actually think the way we think & they're not all drug addled drug forum users. The simple fact that there are people within our House of Lords who are in favour of liberalising drugs policy is a boon to the legalisation movement.

But do I expect these amendments to be accepted by the Commons? no, I certainly do not...
