.....and what are we going to do to change things?

I've never seen this place like this n it's frustrating to the point I'm considering going elsewhere. It's like we get a bit of liveliness for five minutes n then it's back to THIS!

If it's going to continue this way please can the people I communicate with PM me their E-mail address so we can keep in touch that way.

What are we going to do to get this place active again? And what's happened to all our members:

Hang on, you say you don't want people knowing when you're online and wish to remain invisible, then complain if others aren't posting every 5 seconds?? It's Monday morning ffs, many of us are working and/or suffering immense hangovers/comedowns from our weekend shenanigans.. Giz a break luv :)

Hardly anyone has posted here for weeks it's dead, especially this weekend. It's not just yesterday. I'm not trying to be rude I don't expect people to be posting every five minutes just why there's activity here anymore.

I don't know why admin don't merge all these area forums because they are mostly dead n that's a shame.

I get that Scotchy but this seems worst than before. I'm not trying to bitch or cause any arguments just thought I'd create a thread where we could discuss this n try to find some constructive ways on getting things better round here, more active.

Why have we lost good members like Swampdragon? It's a shame that's all. I honestly wasn't trying to go at anyone. I understand that people are working n so it'll be a bit quieter 9 to 5 than in evenings, I get that.

Even Sammy G has gone n he was a major part of this place n I never thought I'd be typing those words.

BBL I don't get a signal in TF.

People move on, people come back, fall out, fall in love, computer breaks, computer breaks them.. ebbs and flows as I said, nowt can be done about it other than keep posting yourself and eventually you'll get caught in the flow..

Personally I'd prefer people wait till they have something halfway decent (funny, perceptive, original) to contribute, and the forum gets a bit quieter, rather than people stinking up the place with constant offputting brainfarts, but that's just me.

Thank you for your thoughts but this thread isn't about me it's about sorting our forum out :)
And to be honest six months ago you may have been right on that but now I'm trying to change things as when people go through depression they use stuff as a crutch n at the time I used BL as a mask but now things are better.

But like I said I made this thread to discuss EADD.

Scotchy is it ok to keep this or would it be better in metathread?

Perhaps some of the regulars are sick of having repeat technical issues with their choice of browsing/posting equipment, as well as having their online privacy violated.

If you keep your wits about you, you may well note a number of simularities in the type of tech and social media problems many EADDers have been experiencing. Some have expressed this publicly; and a good few I know of haven't made theirs public knowledge.

I'd pay particular interest to anyone who seems eager to scream, "You're just being paranoid", in response to such a claim, whether that's in public or said privately.

H A C K E R S have been a bane of my computing life, it did cross my mind that it might have something to do with my activities on this site; that it might be the 'snoopers charter' going rather further than Theresa May said they would, but most times they've just been intent on destroying my PC, which doesnt seem very authoritarian. :\

I dont think that Ive upset or "wronged" or pissed off any member of this site enough for that. If it is anyone on this site, you win ok, you've anihilated me with your technological skills several times. Is there anything left to prove? I have everything backed up in triplicate anyway so you're never gonna cause a total loss, just a whole lot of hassle and expense.

Even reading some techy stuff and following all the security advice to the letter and having everything locked down to an extent that it "will be impossible for any hacker to make their way onto your machine" strange things are still happening even now. I must stop using video streaming sites. :sus: I think it's as simple as that. :!8) I could say Im addicted to them, but that wouldnt be strictly true, but when the urge for a stay at home stim binge strikes I have to have some mechanism in place to prevent, limit, or halt it. I cant believe i havent even mastered that degree of self control yet. May God help me, or he may not. I'll probably just have to help myself. 8o

I called it peaks and troughs; a number of us seem to have had other events overtake our lives. Some people leave for a while and come back occasionally, some people leave and never come back, some will come back when they find themselves with the 3 essential ingredients; some free time, a half decent state of mind, and either something to respond to, or something to contribute.

Right, ive got a few things to attend to, so must be away. I look forward to the day or night i once again spot a bunch of friendly screen names all online at the same time.
