First time LSD alone?

Hello everyone. I have been wanting to try LSD for almost a year now after my friend told me about his experience and how it was one of the greatest things he's ever done. I was originally going to drop with that friend, but I can't because of time. (I can't spend the nigh) I am only 15, but I have been researching psychedelics for almost a year now and have decided I definitely want to do them. I have also been smoking weed around once a month or so for a while. I cannot drop with my friend because I would most likely have to go home while still tripping because my parents suck and I do not want to risk doing that. so I thought that I would try a low dose (one tab?) alone in my room at night with some calm music on and think about my life. I might also do it if I had a day where i would be home alone all day, but this is less likely. I would probably drop at around 8 PM and then go in my room, and turn off the lights and "be asleep" until my parents went to sleep any time from 12-2 AM and then just continue lying there or maybe watch a movie on my phone. I spend a lot of time alone so I think I could handle myself while tripping. I will get milk and B vitamins (I've heard they can calm down a trip) to have on hand. The trip would probably end before I had to communicate with anyone or anything the next day. Does this sound like a good idea? I could also get some shrooms if that would be preferable. If this experience goes well I will also possibly trip at a music festival with the friend I mentioned before a little later this year. thank you all for your advice :)

Time alone to think about not making a sound or waking your parents?

Any plan for when things get a little intense trapped in a small enclosed room and you desperately need to piss, only to find your self in a thought loop for 20 minutes in the bathroom forgetting why you are here, madly clawing at the draws laughing and making a ruckus?

Milk and B12? You may as well put your fingers in your ears

You are not giving yourself any margin for error and this is dangerous. Not every trip will go smoothly for the entire 8-10 hr duration. Even great trips can have an intense hour of uncontrollable crazy and disorientation. Set and setting is important, and having to worry about neighbours next door is bad enough , let alone your parents in the next room

You are not ready to be honest.

The advice I gave in the thread SteamboatBillJr linked was to wait until the age of 18 to take any psychedelics.

BUT, if you're impatient like I was when I was 15, honestly your plan doesn't sound terrible to me, as long as you stick by your word and take a low dose. Start with half a hit, because there is some acid on the market strong enough to make half a hit plenty for a first-timer. I made do with the old "pretend to go to bed and trip in the dark" routine many times as a teenager.

While I understand One Thousand Words' concern, and agree that hiding from your parents in your bedroom at night is not the greatest setting for a psychedelic trip, getting stuck in thought loops for 20 minutes in the bathroom is simply not a risk if you take a reasonable first-time dose. Probably the worst that can happen is that you end up feeling like you wasted the drug in a shitty and boring environment, IMHO.

Again, however, I can't in good conscience recommend that you take a mind-altering substance at the age of 15. But if you decide to go ahead with it, good luck! :)

A majority of my trips are spent at home alone at the end of the night and honestly, it's not bad. I personally wait for my family to sleep before I try to get up and do something just so I have free reign of the house for my trip. If you have enough fun distractions like music or a movie like you said you should be fine, just remember to stay calm and enjoy it. If it gets too overwhelming try switching up your activities, that helps to keep your mind off it.

If you're anything like me you won't be sleeping that night (maybe 8 or so hours) so have a plan for your trip.

Be absolutely sure you don't want to wait and do it with your buddy, it would probably be more fun (ergo a better use of your money). IME it's more enjoyable with friends.

LOL I'm with this person, my first trip I took the front doors off our house, I would have bet my last dollar they were warped.. next day not so much

My advice would be not to trip alone your first time, some people should NEVER trip alone regardless of experience. Same goes for their own home. Not only will the fear of waking your parents affect you, but there is so much familiar sensory information (I may have used that term terribly) that could trigger feelings of sadness. For instance a picture of my family from 10 years ago reminded me that my parents are now divorced and how much older they look and that they were fearing for their own futures, which scared me.

Your first time should be done in nature with at least one other person. I have never used a trip sitter personally, but that will not hurt. If you don't have one, the other person should be an experienced tripper

I'd start with less, even. 1/4 hit. The thing is, it can last a looooong time. Lsd was my first drug and I took a lot and it was hard. Took about 15 hrs to come down.

it is cut with speed usually, so you'll feel racing thoughts and clammy hands. I'd really try to do it sometime when your parents aren't around!

Cut with speed? Even if it was, the minuscule amount able to be dosed on a tab would barely register.

LSD is a pretty standard duration of 8-10 hours. You might get an after glow for longer but by 10 hours you should be able to function around even the most suspicious parent.

So perhaps I could do as planned above but with a very small hit? like 1/2 or 1/4 or less and if I liked it and felt I had a handle up the dosage next time? I'm also not sure how many mics I'm getting per tab. I'll be sure I find that out tho. but would you recommend the smaller doses first?

I have done this. Had good and bad trips, shrooms and acid, and i would not recommend. It's a really shitty setting, because you need to stick to a plan and there's no margin for error. Personally i am never able to stick to the plan when tripping.

The ideal setting for a trip is not having to think about anything during the trip (and some time after it) and just enjoy yourself, freely and dumbly.

If i were you, i'd wait until someday when your parents travel and leave you alone for more than one day - i dont know if they do that... i know mine didnt do that ever - or try a friends house when their parents travel.

If that cant happen... Try having a friend sleep over at your house, and have hum sit you through the trip. This way you can have someone sober taking care of you and you dont need to worry much.

Just trying to come up with some ideas, because honestly i wouldnt have listened to anyone that said it was a bad idea. And i didnt, and had some OK trips but a terrible one too.

So... Ideally you should wait for a better setting. It's not like psychedelics are going out of stock ya know

Take care

everytime there is thread about tripping alone I always say go for it..... tripping alone is best becose you can dive into yourself uninterupted.Tripping with other people is fun,but alone is more trippy
