Simple math question :
If the half life of a compound is 20 hours, how many days will it take for the body to eliminate 99.9% of a 3g dose ?

Lol, uhh I can't remember the formula so I am going to pretty much disqualify myself and resort to google for the information needed to solve this.

About 200 hrs or 8 days...!!!

(Kel) = the fraction of compound eliminated per unit of time. We are using hours I guess in this case.
We are usually give the half-life (t ½): time for total amount in the body or peak amount in plasma to be cut in ½.
The formula for the relationship of t ½ and Kel is: T ½ = 0.693 / Kel or since we are after Kel: 0.693/T ½ = Kel

Or another way:

0hrs - 3000mg
20 - 1500
40 - 750
60 - 375
80 - 187.5
100 - 93.75
120 - 46.875
140 - 23.4375
160 - 11.71875
180 - 5.859375
200hrs - 2.9296875mg

99.9% 3000mg = 3mg.... so about 200 hrs.. 200 divided by 24 = 8.3 days

Pah! GF beat me to it by seconds. I was looking forward to a shiny car (I'm pretty sure that's not a Geo Prizm though!) lol

PS I have lovely equations written down to calculate half-lives from my uni days, however I find cheating much quicker! =D

It's very quiet on the board at the moment. Everyone must of off-cycle ;)

Maybe I need to jump on a cycle and create a thread for my progress. Would being moderately sedentary for 4 months, then jumping on a cycle along with strenuous exercise be a recipe for an injury? I'm thinking so..

Lol. You'd have awesome gains though - until you ripped something ;)

I'm presently cruising at a TRT dose of 175mg Test E per week. I was on 125mg but had zero sex drive. It's a bit high for me on a down phase but I'm figuring the Deca I inadvertantly took at the end of my last cycle is still nixing things in that department.

Technically I'm still a testosterone powerhouse at my age. I should get some blood work done soon. I haven't had any in almost a year and my last cycle was over a year ago. I just do a lot of stretching every morning because I have notoriously tight hamstring and glutes that drive me nuts and I do go for a little walk every now and then. Like walk to the local store to buy more sugar cookies and eat half the container on the way back.

This is me.....

Lol, that had to have been staged =D

Why can't you motivate yourself to train at the moment?

Well I feel that question will only make me find more excuses. The reality of it is I've been sick off and on for quite a while. Crohn's disease runs in my family and I began showing text book sores around 15-16, but have ignored it because of the inevitably that is going to be my demise.

Other than that I'm just a lazy ass adult! I joined this forum though recently in a secret plot to jump start myself back into fitness and it does have my gears grinding again. This tuesday and wednesday I'm off work and have planned on doing some morning hiking and then dedicate the rest of the day to working on my little diet article.

Regarding Oxidants and reductants:

For the reaction: 2PbO + C ---> 2Pb + CO2

i) identify the oxidant explaining your reasoning.

ii) identify the reductant explaining your reasoning.

The carbon goes from 0 to +4. That is oxidation, therefore it was a reductant.

The oxidant is thus PbO.

Yep.. C is the reductant, as the oxidation number has increased from 0 to +4....

Pb2+ is the oxidant, because the oxidation number has decreased from +2 to 0.... To be more exact but you've pretty much nailed it Fly....

Puffiness is down a lot, lump in right nipple is almost gone, appetite is down, desire to chain smoke is increased, feel a bit strange honestly, not in a bad way just different

Interesting, thanks. And neat i guess, regarding gyno? :)

So it seems you've got 'prolactin gyno' without elevated E2, right?
I thought it was the general consensus that E2 had to be elevated for prolactin to cause problems..

What are all your thoughts on this guys?
