Mixing Dexamphetamine with Ritalin messed me up

Has anyone else done this combination before?

I have ADD and felt that while Attentin 5mg (german brand name for dexamphetamine) was working, it made me too relaxed and didn't give me the drive I needed to work. I also had some Ritalin LA 20mg pills from before I started dex. I looked at the ingredients of Attentin and it said "Dexamfetaminhemisulfat". Is this different from normal dexamphetamine and could it have interacted badly with Ritalin LA? I took 5mg Dexamphetamine at around 2pm and then at 3pm I took 20mg Ritalin LA. Within 45 minutes to an hour I started feeling really dizzy, disorientated and a weird anxiety of going insane. I experience strong depersonalization symptoms which was unusual for me.

Its been over 24 hours and I still feel a lot of these symptoms, especially depersonalization. Any feedback would be appreciated

you shouldn't mix dextroamphetamine with methylphenidate. what you have is dextroamphetamine also known as dexamphetamine or dexamfetamine.

that's an odd reaction, but depersonalization should go away in a few days - granted you don't stress over it

i say is odd cuz when i had nasty dp/dr, a big shot of coke and boom it was gone instantly - ofc after i could hear again lol

Is boom amp ahahah? And idk I still feel real weird with dp. I actually took more dex and ritalin at once than I said. i took 2 5mg dex and 2 ritalin LA 20mg but thought I would get in more trouble if I said I took a big dose like that. Idk what to do cause my psychiatrist is evil

no never tried it, i meant 'boom' to mean the blast when the cocaine rush hits you lol, coke alone

i never tried stimulant combos, and stimulants always temporarily 'eased' my dp, that's why i thought it was odd

anyway, if you tell your psych about what you did it won't help cuz there's nothing he can do either to help you with dp

hopefully it'll go away if you let go of it
