I seem to remember BL having a mod as young as 15, back in the day. There's no way to prove how old anyone is.

Yea you've a point, FUBAR. It's a difficult one. I've tried to keep my chikd away from technology. She's 6. I know a lot wouldn't necessarily agree with that but having come into close contact with the dangers towards kids online it does frighten me somewhat.

Are you joking????? I wouldn't want no 15 year old bossing me around n thinking they're superior to me. Glad our mods ain't kids. Ugh.

Good point about the drugs I mean. We'll agree to differ on the nakid woman lol I think kids are sexualised n / exposed to too much sex as it is. They should be learning about self respect n how to respect their bodies not being exposed to sexual objects like nakid women / men.

I agree, which is why, again, it's the parents responsibility to have parental settings set right, get their ISP to block sites and generally watch what they're doing.

The internet isn't governed, not properly, it's for literally for anything and anyone so the responsibility falls at the user screen, not the server.. ;)

There's some incredibly smart 15 year olds out there who you'd never guess were that age, I wasn't one mind. I'm sure they wouldn't of been modded if they was acting like a child..
 
Did you see that thing in the paper last week about a load of kids getting caned on RCs they'd bought on their posh public school's computer after bypassing the firewalls and site blocking thingies.....

Couldn't have been that fucking clever though cos they did get caught :)
 
I very nearly got caught out yesterday I think, reading gibberings and FG posted the dwarf ball busting Gif, kids wandered in the room, but I think I managed to close it in time, they never mentioned it.

I was incredibly immature at 15. Still am really. Someone forgot to tell me I needed to grow up hahaha ;)

Seriously though - you are right in a way. It is the parents' guardian's responsibility.

No, I'm not joking. Some old timers might want to chime in here and confirm this. A prominent (and still current mod) of Other Drugs was 17 when he first joined the staff. I am not sure if this was known by senior staff when they were taken on, however. (Before my time.)

Your feeling that mods "boss you around" and think they're "superior" to you is odd. If they're good enough at the job, does it matter how old they are?
 
Pretty sure Masheadatronic was a mod of EADD when he was 16/17. He may not have been the finest onside staff member but he remains a true legend of this place and was a mine of information.

That's who I was talking about, and I seem to remember he was 15 when he joined the staff of a much smaller Bluelight. But then again, my memory is fucked and it was before my time. :)
 
I am slightly older than SHM.

Peach reunion at Camden Palace tomorrow will be full of 40-50 year old ravers. Last year was mental. Some a bit balder, most a bit fatter, all a bit wrinklier, but going at it like they did 15-20 years ago. I'm very surprised there were no casualties.
