so if any of you have seen my posts basically two weeks ago i tripped over a aint can and had an injury to my left foot. went to the podiatrist got 30 t3s they were not helping. so tonite at around 8 pm the pain was so unbearable i decided to go to the er waited an hour then got called back to see the doc. he sits my down in the hallway and i tell him what happened he wanted to give me an x ray but i already had one two days prior i told him the x ray came back negative for any breaks and i have an appointment for an MRI Monday since the pain is getting progressively worse. he doesn't look at my foot just sat me down and says i will give you two percocets. he then went on to say if i write you a prescription to get through till monday "you will die". i asked the nurse about why he would say such a thing and asked if the dea had been pressuring him or something she said no we just dont give out large quantities of pills. yeah 20 is a large quantity. any who i explained to her that i had been to this er for chest pain due to a whooping cough and giving promethezine with codeine. she said "well an 8
z bottle of cough syrup is different then pills". really guys i could drink 2oz of the sizzurp and it would have the same effect as 2-3 percs. the reason for this post is to ask if anyone has had a similar er experience. oh btw i am calling my insurance company and reporting this doctor for under-medicating me. why you ask because he did. he is more worried about his license than his patients and assumed that i was a junkie by telling me i would die if he wrote a prescription for 20 percocets. also what do you guys think about people being under-medicated in this country and if you think it is real. thanks all and if this is in the wrong place i am very sorry i wasn't sure where to post since this is my go-to forum.
