Which would you say is most comparable to MDMA, aswell as which has less depletion of serotonin/neurotoxicity?

The 45minute rush you get from methylone is probably closer to MDMA than 4-FA, but 4-FA is superior in pretty much every other way as far as I'm concerned... Methylone has a bigger rush, but you need to dose quite high to feel anything, duration is really short, come down is comparatively long and is accompanied by pretty annoying tachycardia. 4-FA doesn't give me much of a rush, but comes on as a feeling of content and mild mental stimulation, physically I actually find it more relaxing than stimulating. Effects are stable and last a good 3-4 hours after which it gently fades into a clean amphetamine like high that can linger into the next day. Sleeping on it is usually not that difficult though and I feel little to no hangover the next day, methylone usually has me feeling a bit shit the next day. 4-FA isn't very appropriate as a rave drug for me, it lacks the physical push and body high that makes dancing on MDMA so fun. It's better suited for a night in or out with friends.

Thanks for the great answer, yeah ill be raving for quite some time when i try either one, if i continue to redose with methylone, will i still enjoy myself the whole time? And also, how do they compare in serotonin depletion? Because i just took mdma 2 weeks ago and id really like to use the lesser of the two :/

Methylone works alright for up to two redoses, I never pushed it further than that as side effects do become more prominent with each redose (sweating, anxiety, tachycardia). With redosing you can extend the duration considerably, but the peaks still remain pretty short. It can keep you raving for a good few hours though, but once the initial high starts wearing off you'll probably want to go sit down and chat with people for the remainder of the night.

IME, methylone is harsher on the serotonin depletion than 4-FA. I feel more out of it the next day and can occasionally get tuesday blues from methylone use. 4-FA doesn't seem to do this very much at all. Even using it weekly for 3 weeks in a row didn't give me much of a comedown/serotonin depletion symptoms. Obviously that kind of use is irresponsible and should not be recommended!

Some people like the combination of 4-FA followed by a dose of methylone a few hours in. For me, it adds a bit of energy to the 4-FA high and definitely increases the euphoria, but again, this is short lived and also increases the negatives (gurning, sweating, tachycardia, restlessness, etc) that are otherwise not present with 4-FA alone.

i haven't tried 4-fa, but methylone is a strange chem. some people tolerate it very well with minimal side effects, but others have a horrible comedown. i found the high really good (and short lived), but wouldn't take it again because the aftereffects are the worst i've had from any stim (out of mdma, mda, amphetamine, ephedrine, mdvp). pretty bad tachycardia with the inability to sleep for many hours when coming down is followed by a week of depression, tachycardia and chest pains. all three are symptoms i do not get after mdma.

I'll do either one, but amphetamine > 4-FA, and MDMA > methylone IMO.

No, I meant for the "and" to completely separate the two inequality equations. I mean, I meant it to convey the thought that I like amphetamine better than 4-FA and that (unrelated to the first inequality) I prefer MDMA to methylone. But you probably already knew that that is the general consensus.

But now that I think about it, if my MDMA tolerance hasn't gotten better (I haven't rolled in 13 years), then yeah, I probably would prefer (high dose) amphetamine to MDMA.
