Ok, fair enough. You don't have to explain yourself to anybody, but this is a HR forum and we all have a responsibility towards other users.

I'm glad you kicked the methadone (really).

There are.several BLers who know me in real life and "a gram of bubble, 450mg methadone and 30mg diazepam " is hardly conducive of the job I do.......the cup of tea however is :)
 
I get those "best buy" ones that are like 29p or something but every now and the when I'm feeling flush I'll splash out on a red bull.....on really special occasions I'll have a can of monster but that's usually on birthdays, Christmases and public holidays :)

I know I have posted this several times but i see no harm in repeating it for HR purposes. With out going in to the chemistry of 1/2 lives in detail (heroin being @6h methadone 24-36h - though after a few weeks on it 3 days before wd's kick in isnt unusual).
To come off gear using a 2 week 'done taper is not that hard - as long as you are only on the gear and have no 'done in yer system. I have dropped from 70 -5mg many times - normally if im away on holiday and drop 5mg a day , its slighlty different at the end but if anyone wants a schedule please PM me.
 
I've been put up from 40ml to 60ml as they suggested as 40ml wasn't holding me and I was craving more because of this.

I do feel more stable on 60ml, it's holding me much better. my plan now is to stop the odd use of gear (not had any in 7 days today) I'm using Oxy every day though which I need to cut down on and stop.
 
that is way too high a dose to walk away from . please taper off,your blood pressure could go up.do u have bp pills? detox kit is very important to have.
 
The main problem with dosing in this country is under dosing; the therapeutic dose i.e to stop cravings, block receptors , stop wd's etc is between 80-120 mgs - sure 40-50 mgs will stop you being sick but it doesn't address the other issues.
If you are using other opiate/oids and taking more than 50/60mgs of 'done your pretty much wasting your money as most of your mu receptors are blocked so none of the gear/oxy/whatever can pass through the blood-brain barrier and have the euphoria and high will be missing. When I was on high doses of 'done i would wait 24h before i'd have a hit/smoke.
 
There is no real evidence that methadone wds increase systolic BP. I was using clonidine anyway but even if I wasn't, night bp isn't usually a problem. The phrase "too high a dose to walk away from" is entirely up to the individual. Granted not everyone is going to want to go from 180 to 100 in 8 weeks then walk away but it gets on my tits when people say its 'impossible'...._its not impossible if you want it enough......its very hard yes but not impossible. Sometimes I think the fear of wds make the suffering worse ....go into it with an attitude of "I will beat this no matter what' and you usually will.

Edit...blond in is dead right with his statement that 80+ mg are needed to block the feeling of other opiates .(although not blocked in the true sense like bupe or narcan block, but any high will certainly not be felt).
 
Yeah being on anything like 50/60mls is enough to block the gear, 70 is the offical blockage dose though they don't really tell you that but it is. Mate of mine is on 35mls and says taking his meth then gear on top is a total waste of money to him, everyone is different, but I believe what he says. No reason to lie. If he's want to use gear. He doesn't take his morning dose and waits till lunch time at least so he can feel the gear at any decent strentgh.

I mentioned this too someone, jumping off 100mls, and they said that is totally insane. He told me of a cunt on a 100mls a meth and had to use a 8th to cover the meth. I have never used meth but even I can say that would fucking kill you, nearly quite literally.
 
an 1/8th to cover 100mg of 'done? must have been shit gear - when my habit was similar i could take 40/50ml so stop being sick. 100ml of done is about the same as 3/4-1g of gear but as the half life is so much longer its hard to make equivelents. wd's of any opiates/oids wont kill you just make you sick as shit - its the benzos that can kill and barbs cos of seizures.
 
I, for one, have never found methadone to block gear as say sybbys would.

Even in a 60mg dose of methadone I cam still shoot up and feel it. It doesn't seem to portray any blocking effects (at least at this dose) for me anyway.

That being said though I'm on week Clean off heroin today.and I, am IV user so I miss that aspect also! i have been taking oxycodome regularly but imo it's a step back from the game for example ringing around waitimg for dealers amd having that as part of my everyday life.

Now I just want to get my methadone dowm then use oxy whilst the methadone leaves my stpyatwm then do a short rattle from the oxy utilising benzos, loflexadime, pre gabs etc,,,
