Propylhexedrine - A Warning

In response to a message someone sent me on how to make propyl get them high,

My thoughts? I have an appointment with a neurologist next week for fear that I have damaged my brain with propylhexedrine. Do you honestly think I would advise you to use a chemical that has powerfully adverse side effects, is a dangerous vasoconstrictor, has only been studied in dosages in the range of 10-30mg, and is probably highly neurotoxic, much more toxic than amphetamines?

I used it again a week ago. Something definitely happened to my brain. As a direct result of propyl use over the period of about 6 months. I used maybe once a or twice a week, with several weeks off in between uses. Never planned on using it more than once or twice to start with. Now I can't even drink alcohol without being at risk of soaking 2 cottons in a drink.

The price we pay for our lust for unlawful indulgence, shit has finally caught up with me.

I've used a plethora of drugs in my years, I mean a lot, been out of body, out of my mind, spiritual awakenings, delusional waking nightmares that lasted days, use to tweak my balls off on hardcore amphetamines when I was younger. Binged on molly and sass. Used RC amphetamines and cathinones. Benzofurans.

Tweakers, freakers, dreamers, screamers, geekers, downers, clowners, frowners, upside-downers, all-arounders, out of bounders, uppers, sidewaysdazers, lasers, and hazers. Lmao OK that was uncalled for but true.

No drug has ever had a side effect on my brain the way this did.

Moral of the story? Stick with classic and well researched chemicals, researched in dosages and for purposes that you will be ingesting them for. Lest you decide to use some easy to obtain, legal, and not well clinically researched chemical and playing guinea pig with your brain. Propyl is not a safe drug to use even at a dosage of 125mg, by any means. I would rather see you using one of the APBs or fa's.

Justice, love, unity, I now retreat back into the Logos.

I feel a sharp pain, the pain can be described as agitation and pressure in the left side of my head, it is persisting, it lingers all day, at least the past couple days it has been all day. I don't know what it is, but I know it is my brain, an do know propyl caused it. That is the only drug I have used in a while. I believe it has something to do with the vasoconstrictive and probably neurotoxic effects. Propylhexedrine is a powerful vasconstrictor, dangerously so. I am probably lucky I have not had a stroke from it, perhaps this pain is an indication of what could come next. Right now I have a strange headache in the side of my head. I feel it will lessen over the next week.

I am seeing a neurologist because I know something is physically happening in my head, something feels wrong as the slight pain is telling me, and I want to know what.

Perhaps no damage has been done. That will be for the neurologist and testing to decide.

I'm not trying to rag on this chemical or accuse it of damaging my brain lol, but it did something not so nice to my brain. I've never had a physical sensation like this persist for up to 2 weeks after taking a drug. It only started after I had used propyl every couple weeks over the period of several months, at least 6. I am sure the amount of times I have used propyl play into this. It must have been affecting some process, region, and god forbid caused minor hemorraghing where I feel the slight pain now.

The sensation was almost not even present today. Actually its basically gone. I just feel a mild sensation and kind of drained in the brain today. Propyl abuses the shit of you when you use it on the regular, even if only once every other week or so.

Anyone with a knowledge of neurochemistry who wants to chime in here as to wtf I am feeling in my head up to a full week after using propyl, by all means please do chime.

If you are going to use drugs, don't fuck with shitty addictive ones like this. Plan your use well, know your source, know your substance.

Instant highs like propyl just carry too many side effects, not to mention a nasty aftermath once the peak wears off.

If anyone finds themselves stuck in a situation where you are seriously contemplating using propyl, PM me and I will guide you to safer waters, i.e. I know where the x is on the treasure map we refer to as gibberjabdabinterweaselwebnetworktomailreceptacle
Has anyone watched Better Call Saul? What a phenomenal show. I'm currently looking for a new show to watch. Bates Motel is also spot on this season.

Elevated blood pressure led to cranial pain (you can't really "feel" brain damage, as your central nervous tissue has no tactile or pain-receptors), arguably of a type similar to migraines (both involving changes in cranial blood flow). I don't really have an account of why the pain would have lasted so long though.

Thanks. The strange part is a 3 week regimen of multiple low daily doses of MXE provoked this area of my head (I felt a sensation like something was blocked up on the left side of the head) back towards the end of October. Propyl seems to fuck with it as well now. Also, my last few trips on serotonergic compounds, mostly RC's that should have dilated both pupils, left only my right pupil fully dilated with the left one not dilated much if at all. Or was it the other way around?

I am sure my abuse of chemicals in the past has a role to play in this as well. Perhaps an appointment with a neurologist will put an end to all this speculation once and for all.

Thanks for chiming in ebola?!

If you don't mind me asking, I have seen you post in propyl threads for the past year and a half I have been using bluelight. What exactly is your infatuation with it? Or do you simply find it curious that people ingest it? My good sir, please do PM me if the response does not fit well in this thread.

Perhaps I have not revealed the most disturbing piece of the puzzle.

I was using an mao-b selective inhibitory herb throughout the time I was also using propyl. Knowing full well the risks.

I think a hiatus from all synthetic chemicals for this brain is in due order. Perhaps it is a calling from the Earth, San Pedro may have lessons awaiting us.

Xorkoth and ebola? I love you both, and reach out through your screens for a hug.

Asymmetrical pupil dilation occasionally happens in the absence of other pathology, particularly in response to serotonergic drugs. However, that this has been repeated and has occurred with other symptoms is alarming. I'm glad that you're seeing a neurologist, though I wouldn't necessarily be alarmed yet.

Several years ago, I used the compound recreationally several times. At that point, there was a dearth of trip-reports, so I wrote one up. Further piquing my interest, propylhexedrine's mechanism is not well known (its manufacturers never intended people to ingest orders of magnitude higher amounts orally), and some of its effects are pretty unique (eg, I get visuals from it). I also found a couple reports in the toxicology lit about deaths following IV use. Over the years, I've noticed people doing some pretty reckless things with this compound, so dispelling misinformation surrounding it became a sort of pastime for me. When this FAQ appeared, I jumped at the chance to fix some errors in it and elaborate on its information. And then being an author and being in charge of our wiki-section's upkeep, it's kind of my duty to keep on top of responding in this thread. :P
