What You Listening To? Part XXIV - The Conventional Road to Cropredy

The first full on mushroom trip I had was at the 'Sonic Attack' tour at Hanley. Fuckin hell, Sonic Attack was so well named - I spent the whole gig gripping onto my seat to try and counteract the sonic onslaught I was experiencing.

It improved somewhat when I left the gig and the lampposts were bending down to me and the rubber conveyor belt that was the pavement was going in the opposite direction to my direction of travel... Bizarre..
 
Well after many years of saying that hardcore has gone to shit and there hasn't been anything good since the mid nineties, I'm actually getting quite into current hardstyle, this one being a particular favourite at the moment, makes a great alarm tune in the morning and has a message that means something to me at the moment.

I'd love to go to a Defqon festival at some point, how fit do you have to be to last 3 days of dancing to this stuff though? I reckon I'll need at least a year of training heh.

no just a good bag of speed and some sledging pills and you will be fine

Not at all, Fubar. Am rather partial to Hawkwind myself. Sure I've mentioned that I lived a few doors down from a fella who played in Hawkwind. Think he was a bassist at some stage but details escape me. Is hardly a lame to fame given I beliieve that statistically nobody is ever more than six feet from an ex-Hawkwind member.

(yup, i opted to post a remix y'all probably won't like much but y'all've heard the originals a gazillion times anyway so worth a punt - first time i'm listening to it too and it lends itself rather well (would do more so if suitably supplemented of course ;))

Nice one Shambles :) I really like that mix! In fact, I'm surprised that Hawkwind never got into doing trancey stuff - to me it seemed like a natural progression for the masters of space rock.

Edit: And Shambles makes 5 :) I'm sure there's more though, so come out where ever you are people - there's no need to hide :)
