Sooo I jus purchased the movie from my Amazon account and watched the movie on some instant amazon movie app....

fuckin Crazy!*

WARNING **** the whole movie has TRIGGERING content******* only watch movie and or trailer if u are stable enough.

I'm currently trying to be sober and I am early in my recovery... Very early... At day 1 AGAIN. Watching the movie made me sad bc some of the scenes are VERY real and u can RELATE very much so as have being in those situations before. So after the movie, I was in this mind set "holy shit I need to stop bc it's gonna get bad. I have to stop now!" So I wouldn't say that the movie would make u wanna use but everyone is different

So if ud like a great movie about the shit, check it out. It's by Johny Hickey I think that's how u spell it.

I just watched the trailer, its extremely triggering. I know it would have messed me up early in recovery.

For me, a film doesn't really hit me the same way as real life consequences. I know if I was early in recovery the constant footage of using would leave me craving, I don't care how "dark" the film is.

I hope this film really does inspire you to quit. I would recommend that since you are less then a week in that you avoid these types of films for awhile. Just a suggestion.
 
I watched the trailer. Very triggering indeed but I'm using sooo yeah..

I may take a look at the movie. It looks good from what I saw. Maybe it will inspire me to get clean :\

Um that movie def fucked me up... Watching it made me feel some deep dark feelings. I keep thinking about the movie even though I watched it like 4 days ago. And even tho I've never done some of the things in the movie (stealing, getting raped, killing someone). I dunno it really put me in a funk. I guess bc it kinda hits close to home in a way

I def think it could make some kids think twice bout using for the first time. It def shows u the ramifications of drug use
 
Unfortunately scare tactics about horrific outcomes (even death) rarely, if ever, work on the people that have some unidentified need to use. :( There are so many vulnerabilities from trauma to chronic pain to something as basic as a weak relationship with self that lead to use, abuse and addiction.
 
Yeah, I know for me that the fear of death didn't really do anything to stop me when I was using. Now, leaving my sisters without a brother and my parents without a son was something that I would at least consider, but my own death... at the end of the day I didn't care :(

So so grateful not to think that way anymore! Never again.
