Alisdair, you're not stupid so stop being passive aggressive. Obviously I was searching for that word within posts made by me. The search engine is a pile of gash, just admit it. You seriously suggesting I put shambles in and then read through every thread with that word in it to find the appropriate quote. I don't have the skills to fix it, if I did I would do it in a heartbeat, but I don't so I have to work with what I've got and make positive sontributions elsewhere...and come on mate, it's obvious you think I'm a prick, at least have the courage of your convictions and say so. How about doing what I suggested and post up the responses you get rather than just writing me off as someone who likes to argue for the sake of argument? I open my mouth and commit to negative contructive comment because I feel this place needs it, if that means I am characterised as a cock I don't care. I would rather be the cock that tried to make a positive impact than the wallflower that changes nothing. Oh, and why reply here when I suggested we should discuss via pm so as not to disturb thread? ego much?
As for you julie, I don't think I've ever seen anything more productive than 'oh be careful' come out of your mouth. You know fuck all and from what I can see you do fuck all to try and improve this place. I probably made more productive posts in my couple of months as a mod than you have in your entire tenure. You're shit mate.
Unfortunately I'm something of a failure so I can't magically make things better, I know for sure if I had the keys to this place it would look very different and I would do my best to get it back on message. Take for example the repeated banning of evey for essentially fuck all when I believe she is one of the people most in need of help and support here. I rarelsee anyone say anything encouraging or positive to her and it sickens me. It's not a surprise you've had some extremely wise people give up mod positions here because of the state of the place.
All I have is my experiences and I do my best to lay them open and truthful in the hope it might help people. I feel extremely honoured that over the years I have received so many PMs thanking me for doing what I do. It is a privledge to be able to help others. I am a man of many failings, of that there is no doubt, but I do my best within the paramaters I have. I'm fucking ashamed that my tell a shit joke and word of the day threads continue to ride high and achieve fuck all whilst productive stuff I post like regional drug discussion is merged away in to oblivion, am then ignored when I point out on numerous occasions how stupid it was to do so until someone else turns up and mentions the same thing and suddenly it's done. If I could take back those piece of shit chit-chat threads that help no one I would do it in a second, I have become just as guilty of ruining this place as everyone else.

Search engine DOES need fixed. I searched keyword shables from author CATINTHEHAT, search entire posts. I got zero results, if you are getting them it is clearly broken. If I what I put in was wrong then obviously it's not clear enough and fit for purpose.

also, you won't find "shambles" if you're searching for "shables" - maybe that's your problem?
