Nasty delayed Easter weekend comedown

Hi everyone,

Went a bit overboard with my MDMA use this weekend and now I feel appalling. In the past, I've taking small quantities of tested, high-quality gear during festivals but during Easter, I found myself in London with no MD and three consecutive days of events to attend. I ended up buying some stuff that had clearly been cut and foolishly took it on all 3 days, doing a couple of lines and a 0.2g bomb each time. Every day, I took Vitamin C, E, ALA etc. before rolling and 5HTP, multivitamins etc. after waking up.

When I returned home on Sunday, I felt pretty grotty but mentally sound. On Monday, I felt drained and nauseous but still alright. Taking 50mg 5HTP in the morning and evening helped me stay positive. Last night, however, I didn't bother taking 50mg 5HTP and fell asleep. I experienced lucid nightmares and woke up 30mins later feeling shocking - really paranoid, legs incredibly fidgety and constantly on the brink of a panic attack. 5HTP + loads of milk helped me fall asleep eventually but I've woken up feeling the same way. Nothing seems real and I keep getting fleeting thoughts like "what if I overdid it at the weekend and now I'm in a coma". I mean its laughable but also pretty disturbing.

Obviously, I'm a complete melon for rolling on 3 consecutive days, particularly when the stuff was untested. Feel free to lay into me for that and tease me for being so feeble. However, I feel like I'm living in a horror movie and need to know when this feeling is going to subside. I haven't done MD since Saturday night and have never experienced a delayed comedown like this. Is it normal and is there anything I can do to eliminate it?

You're just going to have to ride it out you know what you did was iffy so no need to scorn. Just try to eat healthy , exercise, and get plenty of sleep should be back baseline in no time.

Sounds pretty typical for a bad MDMA comedown, like the above poster said, just ride it out, and live healthily to try and bounce back the quickest, theres nothing else u can do.. Stay away from all drugs till then but definitley stay away from mdma for a very long time, bad comedowns are more common and usually end up being worse after having your first one like this.

Totally agree that I need to catch up on sleep but I keep getting paranoid at night, preventing me from sleeping, plus I have to get up early for work. As for excercising, it's not easy when you feel like a zombie. Appreciate the pointers though.

On a general note, is it normal for the comedown to begin 3 days after rolling? I felt fragile but mentally sound for the first 2 days, but worse after this period. Could this be related to the fact I returned to work and, as a result, started to sleep for 5-6 hours rather than 8-9?

you dont notice the comedown with mdma for a couple days generally. Idk the explanation for it. But thats where the term "suicide tuesdays" come from

Any idea how long this is likely to last? Clearly the sleep debt I've built up this week aint helping but I still feel paranoid and anxious, particularly at night.

Most people bounce back fairly quick i say just give it another week or so and youll be fine. But others arnt so lucky, taking months and sometimes even years without fully recovering. But thats with very bad abuse from what ive so seen so dont let that scare you! Like said before, just stay heathy, keep positive thinking, try meditating even, it seems to help others. You will get better soon though!

You could try GABA and Melatonin before bed if you're still having trouble sleeping They will help with the paranoia/nighttime anxiety and being able to sleep.
