Methadone triple dose?

Right obviously with it being bank holiday and that I'll get three doses when I go to the chemist soon.

I'm only on 40mg these days used to be on 80mg.

Now it's Saturday night and I'm bored with no drugs. How much methadone would it be okay to take, considering I have a pretty High tolerance for opiates (along with my 40mg of methadone a day I take about 200mg of Oxy) to no real effect. Would taking the 120mg be alright dya recon? I have OXY everyday anyway so its nit like. I need the done
 
Be really careful.... I'm on MMT myself but you can never predicted what another person can take safely....I'm on a very high dose and often take silly amounts but be careful....if your in anyway concerned just add a small bit at a time...I wouldn't just neck the whole lot at once and hope.for the best (well actually I would do just that but I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone else do it).

Sometimes with methadone less is more. To be on the safe side I'd set the upper limit at double your usual dose, rather than triple. That should give you a good buzz. I find that too much meth can get quite uncomfortable and lasts so long it gets annoying after a while. If you're going to be mixing with oxys I'd be inclined to just take an extra 20mg and see how you get on.

I've tried double my dose before now on a Saturday when I get Sunday's take home but it didn't affect me any more than the usual 40mg would have done.

So I've made an informed decision, that with me not having my usual bedtime 100mg dose of Oxy that I'd have my 120mg of methadone and fingers crossed may get a little effect from it.

I did think about taking it in staggered doses but I wanted it to hit me all at on e if I was going to feel anything.

Goid advice. You've also got to worry about the days you'll have no methadone if you take it all today. I'm not really the best on advising methadone, I'm on subs but just want to echo what others have said on being careful n that we're not qualified to give dosing advice. Sorry couldn't be more helpful.

Yeah, I'd like to thank everybody for their good advice in this thread.

With the other days, that isn't an issue as I have access to at least 200mg of oxycodone a day. I wouldn't even dream of it otherwise.
 
I find after a long time on MMT i just get nothing out of it. ME personally i can triple dose and not feel anything different than a normal dose. Which also happens to do nothing. Thats why its a good substitute cus after a short time of taking it, and your body gets used too it. You feel fuck all off it. IME. Although we are all differant and some people do claim to get something out of it. If i were u i'd take it as normal. Only cus other than keeping withdrawals away there is no effect for me.:(

I took 30, 2 mg suboxone tablets once and fuck all happened........... Mind you was in a negative state at the time but nowt happened whatsoever, was probably the naloxone or whatever. That was the last time I had a stock pile and was gutted the next day because obviously I had no stockpile anymore.......

Yeh u know it contains opiates. And think more opiates should mean more of a buzz and u should get high. But with these substitute drugs thats not the case. Once your bodys used to it anyway
 
Didn't get anything from it.

Like one of the previous posters said the 120mg dose I took last night affected me just as my 40mg would have done - which is not at all!

Saying that though I normally wake with my muscles stif of and really aching and I didn't this morning. I wonder if I'm too low a dose of methadone and it's not holding me through the night properly?
 
^^probaly are. So many people are on too low a dose to hold them 24hrs. If s doctors is gonna put you on substitution therapy then at least make it EFFECTIVE substitution therapy!!

I find splitting my dose helps as taking it all at once means it has to last the full 24 hours and for many methadone doesn't last that long. The alternative is to take a dose that's too much for the first few hours just so that it will have the legs to last 24 hours...splitting make so much more sense although I realise if you're supervised pickup then this isn't possible.
 
Yep, supervised pick up unfortunately. I've even found when I take my 40mg dose at 9pm I still wake up with my whole body aching and really intense muscle stiffness and that only goes away when I take my 100mg oxynorm.

Like you said the only other thing is to up my dose just to give it the legs to see me through to the next day properly...I don't really wanna be putting my dose up though, I wanna be heading in the opposite direction.

My plan for now is to cut right back on the illicits, give my 3 clean piss tests and get off supervised at least then I don't have to go to the chemist every day and when I donwake up aching I can have my methadone first thing.

Then I want to start reducing and get off the stuff. So I don't wanna put the dose up just to have to bring it back down.

Everyone is different. When I was on methadone it blocked all the nice feelings from other opiates plus it increases the tolerance very fast. One day would already spoil my dosages. I don't know if you want to do this but at least twice as much and you build it form there.
The boredom will pass. Getting over the extra tolerance will take longer. When I did that I used to have restless legs for 3 nights after during almost 5 hours..
When my methadone dose was at 80 mg, not even 45o mg of Oxy would do it. Maybe I felt something for 30 minutes but then what?
