Should be dropping thru the postbox any time now

Thing is tho is that my nonheroin using life consists of mainly getting stoned on a weekend and watching blu rays with my dad on the 3d home cinema. Seeing as how Ive ringfenced the next four days to start springcleaning this box of chaos that i live in, my easter weekend viewing will be especially important as it will probably be one of the highlightsof my year. I cant get stoned on a monday and enjoy interstellar in good conscience after comitting to my domestic agenda so it will unfortunately have to sit in its cellophane untill the bank holiday is on us.

and so it goes.. come friday i will hit the weed and enjoy the easter weekend as follows:
GOOD FRIDAY: Interstellar (bd)
EASTER SATURDAY: The Imitation Game (bd)
EASTER SUNDAY: The Passion of The Christ (bd - you havnt experienced TPOTC untill you see the scourgeing in 1080p, even Alex Delarge couldnt dream of dishing out a tollchocking that savage)
: Noah (3dbd - notice the bible story double bill for the big day)
EASTER MONDAY: On Her Majesty's Secret Service (HD Broadcast saved to 'digibox' - never seen it before)
: Skyfall (bd - its easter monday gotta rock the bond innit)

just had to share that its important to me

pre ordered a month ago, dispatched friday through amazon prime - 'to guarentee delivery on release date"

30/3/2015 6.00am - stafford postie eyes his van for this mornings round - "theres far too many parcels on here for this morning, do they expect me to do my job properly AND get home on time. What planet do they think im on - you can fuck half of that lot back into the depot mate"

= no interstellar

So let me get this right, you spend a good deal of your time engaged in the aquiring and consuming of illegal and illicit substances and you get you buy your movies from Amazon.

The rich texture of our world never ceases to amaze me :D

Watched interstellar last night, started at like 3am and stayed up till it had finished, best sci fi i seen in a long time. Space is just too depressing %)

I want the best possible picture and sound quality from my films, theres 800 quids worth of tv and surround so why would i want to sully it with a torrent or an inferior copy of a film? Thats what floats my boat, an immersive cinematic experience and I buy my discs brand new or second hand, from any number of on or offline sources as depite being a baghead, im not a tealeaf. I know how hard this must be to for some of you to get your heads around but regardless of my scumbag taste in chemicals i have always paid for my own drugs with my own money.

I have no issues with your choice in chemicals or indeed how you wish to spend your money, or for that matter where it comes from, I was just pointing out the irony in someone who chooses to to do many less than legal things in there life but chooses to but their movies 100% legit. Further to that you clearly have an internet connection ?

BTW once the movie is out on BlueRay / DVD a good rip is identical to watching the disc, you could even make a disc if it made you feel better.

That said clearly I'm not encouraging anyone to break copyright rules and deprive Warner Bros or whoever of their lively hood ....they seem so poor these days ;)

As you were :D

That's a bit condescending n stereotypical, don't you think?

Dont get me started. Me parents had their own business n have sols it after 20 years. They spent a lot of what the made on a final tax bill. The joys.

Evey

Tax is what gets your dustbins collected and your medical bills paid. Deal with it.

Well, er yes Evey thats exactly how I felt when I read the thread. 'In the news today smackhead pays for item rather than stealing it'

The amount of jaws that hit the floor when I suggested that I pay for my films is the height of junky stereotyping. Im not sure what point your trying to make.

I have a fair few decent bd rips on torrent, but as good as they are theyre generally inferior to the original discs - skippy framerate on some systems, no choice of DTS, TrueHD or PCM soundtrack - and im sure im not the only one whos noticed that the clearnet doesnt seem to offer quite so many torrent databases these days

It was fair comment although not the point I was making which had nothing to do with your DoC or your general life style, of which I hadnt even considered. It's all good :D

I don't agree that there are less torrent DBs, in fact quite the reverse although in the UK many sites are blocked, it's not something I can go into a lot of detail about given they mainly enable the sharing of copyrighted material...and that's bad mmmm kay ;)

Just like a FLAC copy of an audio CD it is quite possible to make a bit for bit copy of any digital content without any form of degradation, it's all 1s and 0s in the end but a full BlueRay image is west of 8Gb so it's true to say many 'copies' involve some level of compression or content removal, I don't run surround sound and my TV is a modest 42" Panasonic just running the sound through my equally modest stereo sound system so I'm not really pushing the boundaries of the visual and sonic experience.

Back on track, I have a rare night in on my own this Thursday so being a big Sci-Fi fan I'll give this one a watch and report back
