Whilst I understand there had to be sue process I was surprised at the seeming uncertainty of the outcome given it was an accepted fact he did physically assault the other party in question.
I can't think of another work place environment where there would be any question what so ever about instant dismissal, I've seen people go for way less than that.
I kinda loved to hate him TBH, although the show had long since lost any genuine interest from me and his string of recent blatant racist remarks had to end sometime, I was kinda shocked he got away with the slope on the bridge thing by claiming ignorance....well that kind of ignorance anyway
Tony Hall said he had "not taken this decision lightly" and recognised it would "divide opinion".
However, he added "a line has been crossed" and he "cannot condone what has happened on this occasion".
