Two questions I know you guys can help me with...

Two questions regarding cross-tolerance, and promethazine potentiation.

1. Do benzos and opioids (particularly temazepam and oxycodone) have any cross-tolerance? I'm prescribed them both right now and want to be safe when taking them.

2. I know that promethazine makes some opioids/opiates stronger/more euphoric. Some people swear by it. My question is, does it specifically potentiate oxycodone? Which properties of the oxy if so? Euphoria, pain killing? Also, how much promethazine is required to potentiate to it's full potential?

1. I do not believe benzos and opioids have any cross-tolerance. They are dangerous to combine though.

2. Antihistamines make a user feel "stoned", similar to the anticholinergic effects from weed. The other day I took some Doxylamine, 25mg and smoked a Cig to counter those effects and literally nodded out as If I were on high-grade opioids but not any immens utopia-esque, smiley euphoria like Hydrocodone can produce. Just the action of a nod. Like head falling forward and back n cig burning in fingers n shit.

I personally believe they increase sedation, maybe some euphoria(cuz I find Doxylamine to be euphoric at 25mg till I smoke the cig to counter the anticholinergic effects) But there's a degree of that drug that is euphoric to me.

I can't speak on Oxycodone or Promethazine but I believe it will be similar to what I'm talking about.

I take my codeine with promethazine. I quite like the sedation effects it gives plus stops any side effects of the codeine like itching. It's all trial and error. Some people prefer other anti histamines like diphendryamine.
