I'm not that experienced shooting dope. Anyway, today I went for the vein in my arm. The water was very dark so it was hard to tell if i was in a vein. I shot the dope and right after a red mark started to appear, But it didnt feel like i missed i still got high....?

Well, a few things could be the case...
A. You missed part of the shot, but not all.
B. You missed completely
C. You didn't miss at all, and your injection site is just irritated. (Sticking a needle in your arm can do that, especially if it's not a new needle, or if the area is particularly sensitive. )
Missing a shot of Herion will still get you high. Some people miss on purpose. (Skin popping, or IM injections) Slower onset and less rush are the main clues that you missed. Also you can feel a slight burning sensation sometimes when you miss.
Edit: sometimes the needle can slip out of the vein and youll register, but then when it slips out you end up missing anyway. Push the plunger slowly and half way through pull back again to make sure your still in the vein

Thanks for the information. This morning there was no red mark and my arm was fine. so what happened was letter C.
I also found an easy solution when the water is dark...leave a little air in the very tip, so u can see the blood. I guess its just a process of figuring this shit out for myself.

Or, if the solution is dark, use more water. Air bubbles wont kill you but id imagine they aren't very healthy.
Sometimes what i do is when i insert the needle i pull back before i hit the vein. Then, it will look like an air bubble, but its actually a small vacuum. When the needle hits the vien after that it will fill the vacuum with blood quickly and youll definitely notice.
Shooting up is not difficult but make sure you really take any precautions you can. Keep yourself alive and well, the longer ya live the more drugs ya can do lol
