I am desperate to get clean, taking about 40-50mg oxycodone daily. 4-5 10mg perc or 30mg roxy split into 3rds daily. I have a great job but im new so I cannot take a 'leave' but I NEED to get clean for my life and family.
Things I Have Access To:
gabapentin 300mg
Xanax .5mg (for my panic disorder but can probably switch this to a different anti-anxiety drug if advised)
morpine, unsure
immodium
Ibuprofen 600

and I am sure I could procure a muscle relaxer of some sort if this is advised to help?
any other meds that are recommended? My dr is pretty lax and I can get something if its advised.

can anyone advise me on dosages, which of these meds would help and also how I can complete withdrawls with minimal symptoms so that I may continue to work?
I am desperate at this point and really hoping someone can help, this is my second post here in the last year but I didn't get much help on the last one, hoping for more luck here.
I do have more percocet, but I am hoping to cold turkey it, if a taper is better recommended in my situation, can someone advise?

thank you all for you help.

You have a pretty good withdrawal relief tool kit with the gabapentin immodium and Xanax. Tapering is always the best way to minimize your withdrawal symptoms. Generally the longer the taper the better but not everyone has the self control to taper. As far as work goes it will be hard to hide your symptoms during the first 3 days. Your likely going to be a mess even with the meds. My advice is to take a couple days off work then eat Xanax, ibprofin and gabapentin to pass the time and worst of withdrawals. If you find it too intense than you can eat some of the immodium. At doses over 10 mg it will help with some of the peripheral withdrawal symptoms (restless legs, vomiting, the shits, ect.). Basically you have 5 days of heavy physical withdrawals to get through. It should be doable with what you have on hand.

I recommend the clondine patch as oppose to the pills - I find it MUCH more effective- and just as important as a benzo in my withdrawal tool-kit. It's called Catapres and I believe one patch will last you one week. Definitely try and get your hands on this!

I would also advise Valium over Xanax for a benzo- as it has a much longer half-life- thus lasts longer- and it also has muscle relieving properties from hitting on certain GABA subunits which Xanax does not.

is catapres a rx? im not sure how to have my dr prescribe because idk what its usually prescribed for... she will usually give me something I ask for with good reason but I cant just ask for something without one. and I definitely don't want her clued into my addiction... that would suck

You havef problems sleeping and had clonodine in the past and it helped alleviate the situation.

Lol. How would that justify needing a patch which works continuously 24 hours a day for a week? I think the doctor would just prescribe clonidine pills if anything. I would be cautious requesting it. I don't think people get it Rx'ed just for sleep. It's widely known it's used for narcotic withdrawals, besides of course, high blood pressure. I would think a doctor would prescribe something else first if you ask for sleeping medications and don't have a blood pressure problem.
