Benzos i feel like fucking crying when will this end??

i've been doing .5mg xanax for about a month straight and now i am around 60 hours from my last dose so tomorrow will be day 3.

even after sleeping 8 hours last night i still felt tired all day, work was hell, like i was gonna collapse any second. throughout the day the anxiety got worse especially by night fall. i feel like im at the peak of it now. i am so anxious. i feel nervousness from the pit of my stomach and i literally feel like i wanna cry please someone tell me when this will be over
 
Benzo withdrawal varies greatly. For me, it lasted over a year (I abused large amounts of etizolam for 10 months straight). It tends to come in waves--one day you'll feel almost normal and the next you're back to square one. Severity and duration depend on how long you've been using and what dose.

You haven't been taking it all that long, so it shouldn't last more than a month...if you stop now. It only gets worse the longer you use. Imagine feeling like that for over a year. Not worth it.

Just keep reminding yourself that it WILL pass. Because it will. :)

.5mg for about four weeks? Is it just one .5mg pill a day?

I know it isn't white and black and it varies greatly, but even with cold turkey at that low dose, generally wouldn't expect it to be highly problematic.

With that being said, sometimes assumptions prove faulty. Also keep in mind benzos can cause depression, amplify anxiety, and just generally make a bad situation much worse.

sorry i meant 1mg. half a bar a day for about a month. i'm feel so horrible im debating going to the ER and getting a tapering prescription.

I'd try and calm down, you should definitely feel slightly anxious for a week or so, but honestly at that dosage for only a month you really should not have as much trouble as you're having. Not to say it isn't possible, but I think it's more probable you're just tripping yourself out and making it much worse. Just try and calm down! It's all good! You will be fine by the end of the week and are already half way through the battle and after this you won't be on benzos anymore! How awesome is that!

went to the ER my blood pressure was really high, so they gave me 5mg valium. that helped a lot. they suggested i go to the doctor and get a taper script and thats what im gonna do tomorrow. what a fucking night. fuck xanax i've gone thru heroin withdrawals cold turkey and they're not even as bad.
 
Hey man do what you wish, but I wouldn't even bother tapering. You just made it to day 3 and then you're going to taper with valium? IDK, I would have gotten something subtle to help the symptoms some kava/kratom. Get off the benzo train at the nearest stop they say.

Not trying to down play the nastiness of benzo WD, even if just for a month.
 
I'd be willing to bet the culprit behind your dilemma has probably very little to do with the Xanax. I wouldn't think it is really withdrawals based on some kinda physical dependence.

Obviously you took the Xanax for an existing issue,take that out the picture, now it is more apparent. That is why benzos are a faulty solution, I just think it is probably rebound anxiety, and the fact that you were letting lie dormant for awhile, it is just a shock for it to pop up.

Then with knowing you have anxiety, that only fuels this. Benzo dependence and withdrawal is a real issue, but, I feel like many on the internet have overstated and exaggerated, often letting their anxiety condition, distort the reality of what really constitutes WD's. I've seen many people go ape shit over claims of WD's over a couple a days, a week or two, with very mild dosing. Sure there could be an outlying bunch that may be relatively sensitive, but, knowing anxiety very well myself, it is just anxious people being anxious.

To be honest, if you really think about it, many signs of WD's are damn near identical to a bad state of anxiety.
 
Chamomile tea should be very helpful. Boil water and mix in a touch of honey or raw sugar. Put in the Chamomile, then add 1-2 ml rum/vodka to the hot tea, mix, let sit for 5 minutes, filter the leaf from the liquid, and add more sugar/honey.

Skullcap will be a useful herb to. Probably add in lemon grass, orange spice, or something for taste to make it perfect.

Just hang in there. If you use valium/knonopin don't use it daily. Use it as little as possible if you are not trying to rely on benzos. There's other things that can help in the same areas like the two herbs i mentioned first.
 
jesus Christ ,1 mg for a month???? at one point I got up to 18mg of Xanax in one dose ,once a day ,9 bars ,then would get the 1's etc etc ...I would do this 3 weeks out of every month for like a year,i stopped ...if things got bad ,like I couldn't feel my arms,dizzy sleepless,i drank some beer went on my way,go to gnc and buy gaba if you eat enough it will work,you might feel really shitty for couple hours...throw up but you will sleep
 
Benzo withdrawal is hell. I was hospitalized for three weeks to withdraw from benzos ( I was prescribed 20-25 Mg Valium a day for 2-3 years for mania) - I was tolerant but it had built up in my system) and a shit-load of other meds my doc prescribed me - I lowered antidepressant and built up another, my mood stabilizers were cut dramatically, I was withdrawing from Neurontin (which made me fall all over, pass out affect my gait)
The withdrawal was hell - i didn't sleep for 8 or so days, i had some psychosis, I chattered like crazy, I puked constantly, I was in serious la-la land, was feverish and had massive anxiety. My doc wouldn't even give me a Compazine, Zofran or even a Tums for the nausea - they told me to chew ice chips - bullshit.

Benzo withdrawal has high potential for seizures. my doc said, "who is going to save you when you seize out? (if i went home)
Opiate withdrawl is cake compared to benzos.

I would go to the hospital or ER to get the meds you need.

Better to be safe than dead.

Probably psychological..

.5mg for a month shouldn't be giving you this much trouble at all.

1-1.5mg clonazepam for nearly 6 months. Doctors didnt even taper me.
 
I would either brave it cold turkey, or use some other tools to help you out. Maybe a weaker benzo. Kratom is always good - i'v skipped entire withdrawls with kratom whilst having a great time!

You are an exception. So am I.

I eat benzos for 2 or 3 days in a row and I start to feel how OP does when I stop. 2 days in a row of moderate amounts of benozs will leave me anxious and mildly depressed for several days.

Workout, eat healthy, meditate. Try a little Suntheanine and green tea in the mornings before work or at lunch.
