Heroin Can dope make you stop having your period?

This is starting to get me really worried. I've been doing dope on and off for years but I've only been regularly iving it for about 4-5 months. In those months I dropped 40 lbs and stopped menstruating. Can shooting dope effect your reproductive cycle or is perhaps something else at play here?
 
I'm not a female but my ex years ago when we did dope daily together, still got her period but it was very light and only lasted a couple days. So maybe it can stop it completely. Do you experience the things women get when they go through menopause (did i spell that right?).

Not sure if that helps or not. :?

Amenorrhea is very common in women who use heroin and meth, those numbers are higher for those who IV. I'm not sure if you have children, or want to, but you need to get this checked out.
 
Sure can. Of the women/girls I know who inject, only a couple (me included) have never lost our periods while using. Of course, losing 40 lbs might also play into that...rapid weight loss can also make you stop menstruating. Apparently it's not something to worry about...the female equivalent of mens' testosterone levels dropping while on opiates...however, sure wouldn't feel normal.
 
Malnutrition can certainly cause this. I would make damn sure you juice, take vitamins and increase your veggie and fruits everyday.

Yeah. The shit can make u so skinny u dont get your period anymore because your too skinny to be fertile. My opiate addiction has caused me to loose about 50 pounds and counting. I still get my period tho just realky light and no bloating or cramps (fuck yeah) also u shoukd check your body fat percentage if u are under 10 percent body fat your too skinny to have ur period.
 
swims never been a needle user but like most drugs or damage to your body (swim will admit her faults so you wont think shes preaching.. blow and eatting "issues") your body will stop having its period, but stress will do the same exact thing to you. any chemical imbalance. now... shes not dr. but swim went a whole year without one and it wasnt an immediate issue. however if its in the budget i suggest seeing one just in-case and telling him the issue your having. they may tell you to stop but you wont get into trouble
