Seven Years on Subutex, how the hell do I get off this crap?

Hi all,
I was on suboxone for 4 years, then my doc moved me to subutex because I told him the suboxone was just to expensive at the time. I've been on it now for 3 years, (8mg twice/daily = 16mg day). I've been on this same dose for all these years, but for the last year I've tried to cut down several times, and even tried cold turkey a few times, but the w/d is worse than anything I've ever come off of, including OC, H, & methadone. What's the key? Is there any hope of me getting off this crap after all these years of being on it? I'm absolutely sick of taking it, and would rather go back to methadone than keep taking this, but that's not possible, so I have to just get off without much help from any other meds.
Any advice, any experience from others who have been on this medication for this length of time? How long will it take me to get this all the way out of my system, completely???
Thanks in advance for any help!

Mod's, please move this to the appropriate section, as I've just found this site today. Thanks.

Welcome!!!..i dont have much experience with subs but plenty of people here do and would love to give u advice and support..have u ever gave lyrica a shot? It worked really well when i came off oxy and its not an opiate so it wont drag out withdrawal..it really helped me because my 2 worst symptoms are lack of sleep and anxiety and it helped with both

No, haven't tried Lyrica. The pain/body aches, chills, depression & anxiety are the worst w/d symptoms so far. Lack of energy is just a symptom I've had for years, but it too gets worse when I try to cut back on bup. It's miserable.
