I am excited by my own (and Kate's) deeper delving into jazz, and I'm excited for you too. It's such a fucking huge and overwhelming genre that I've not given much credence to, but I'm blown away by it all now. I'm not into the strictly traditional New Orleans stuff that they play for the "tourists"; it's kinda dull compared to pretty much everything else.
