Gibberings CLXXXVII - Feeling Funky (monkey)

I've just spent the last 9 hours on a course learning CRT (conflict
resolution training)....even though I o ly listened to about half of it I now feel equipped to handle and resolve conflict.....

From what I understand the gist of it seems to be to just walk away....sound advice but could have probably been covered in less than 9 hours 'h

Have you not tried one of those boots chemist order n' pick up things yet? It takes a fucking spreadsheet to work the damn things out :\

You never mentioned psychedelics and green eyes don't count unless their red =D

I've been reading Aokigahara (青木ヶ原?), also known as the Suicide Forest or Sea of Trees (樹海 Jukai?), cheery stuff :D Just moved onto The Complete Manual of Suicide (完全自殺マニュアル Kanzen Jisatsu Manyuaru. It's a Japanese book written by Wataru Tsurumi. He usually writes on the problem of the “hardness of living” in Japanese society. Don Luigi might like these books too, he likes Japanese lit.

Of course the trees outside our home are far too high up for me, I'd need a hand 8( Though the river's not far n' fucking freezing.

If it's the same forest, I watched a short documentary about it which was pretty chilling. It was eerie seeing the last little personal effects people left behind and the people who they met when exploring the forest.

I've been a wee bit busy with other things so I'm only on to chapter two of 'Looking for the Lost'. What happened was that I naughtily got a bag of weed and finished the other book I was reading, then started reading the one you recommended. I ran out of weed which left me a bit unmotivated for a day or two, but I will remedy this :)

You could've done with that about a month ago. ;)

In other news, the doctor's surgery is closed for fucking training today. No CWE this evening. Bah.

It is the same forest but the book fictionalises it well - its good. Worth putting on your reading list, its no difficult to get through - pretty gripping (not translated). The other one by the looks of it is a bit of a downer mind bender, so maybe leave it until you're in a really, really good mood =D

How's you the day? Ratties doing good?

Tue Felix....very true...like I say the gist of it seemed to walk away (and if you cant walk away radio the police)....i could have probably picked that up in 5 minutes but you know how they like to drag these things out:)

If you think about it though I did just walk away a month a go so technically I win :) :) :)

I watched that a few months as well, very chilling

Just watched Imitation game.. such an interesting film. So sad that Alan Turing didn't get the recognition he deserved, disgraceful tbh

IDK, Turing got a bunch of recognition, as it eventually went down in history he's sort of the rockstar of that era of computer science with von neumann, grace hopper, and not many others. But a really tragic young death ofcourse :(
Haven't seen the film yet

Hands up everyone that hates those stupid cupboards that retailers now have to 'hide' their tobacco in!!! I'm fucking sick of the current anti smoking bollox in this country. Funny how the government can ban 'novel psychoactive substances' at the drop of a hat, but they obviously don't want to lose their cut in tobacco tax.. When i buy baccy, i go for whatever is cheapest, but now you cant even see what they stock - they might as well hide it 'under the counter'. I really dont see the point of this as the plain packaging law is gonna come into effect soon anyway. So why hide all the fags & baccy behind sliding doors when they are going to look the same anyway? FUCKING CUNTS!!!! That's what i say.....

Yeah they got the cage cleaned yesterday and a wee bath. I also brought them up some spare miscellaneous fabric from the furniture shop, which they love to tear at.

I had a lovely casserole tonight and they got a wee taste of mash from it so they're very well sated :)

I'm not a fan of it but it doesn't really annoy me anymore as I don't smoke. However, I wasn't affected by it too much before as only the larger shops have them at the moment. My local filling stations and that are just under the size restriction so there's no cupboard yet.

Clever smoker shouldn't buy pack per pack. Confumius says: order bulk online, save money and hassle.
PS.I don't smoke (just cannabis) but I hate seeing people piss cash away into the Big 'Bacco cashstream

I've no clue what that is...

Plus I didn't say it was finished... I've got to go back tomorrow(and Thursday :( )

Ah I wasn't reading properly, I thought you were applying for eadd mod

I'm seeing it everywhere i go now, from supermarkets to corner shops. Plus the staff act very furtive and try to stop you seeing what's behind the doors. I've not bought baccy from Morrisons for a couple of years now because they were the first retailer to adopt this pathetic bollox a good couple of years ago. Can't they see that they are just creating a perfect black market for tobacco?

To be fair, during my smoking career, I'd say at least 80% of the tobacco I smoked was Black Market. We always used to have a few cartons of cigarettes in the house. When I started smoking rollies, I was spending only £6 a week on 50g of some nasty tobacco.

Look Around You. The supermarkets tend to have printed stock lists and prices, right at the counter.

I used to get quite a lot of Dutch tobacco called 'Flandria'.

I assumed that it was actually Belgian but it had a Dutch excise stamp on it.

Likewise. Until there was nasty fake shite everywhere. & then i ended up giving up anyway

Used to work with people that'd smoke the fake shit regardless, dirty stuff would make my head spin and it was as harsh as fuck
