Not really getting euphoria from temazepam, doing something wrong?

I have more Temazepam prescribed to me then I need, and have at most taken 60mg twice. Probably used 30mg before bed 12 times in the past month. I have zero alcohol tolerance, mild opiate tolerance, and have been taking lots of fioricet (butalbital) almost everyday for the past year, so I probably have a decent tolerance to that. I recently stopped taking the fioricet cold turkey at the advice of my headache specialist (he didn't recommend cold turkey, but I just did it).

Anyways, maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not really getting euphoria from temaze. I've heard it's the most euphoric benzo, but I define euphoria as what something like opiates give you, and this just isn't in the same ballpark. Maybe it's just because opiates were my first love, but the fucked up feeling I get from temaze, while somewhat pleasing, just doesn't live up to the hype I've heard about it.

Thanks

It's not unusual at all to not get euphoria from temazepam. I didn't get any euphoria from it either...it's a pretty overrated drug.

Relatively decent at making patients fall asleep, though.

Yeah, your expecting euphoria from one of the dullest substances I can think of. Not to say benzos aren't enjoyable, but the only "euphoria" I get is that mental relief when anxiety is high. Benzos are more relaxing than euphoric.

Benzo's are rather lackluster in euphoria in general, except in the case that CaptainKratom pointed out earlier. Temazepam is usually "said" to be more euphoric than most, but I've never found it that way when I was using it. Not doing anything wrong, just looking for something that's (usually) not there.

It's all subjective and i have found that peoples reactions to different benzos are more varied then with other drugs such as opiates. As a example many people seem to love Alprazolam both for anxiety and euphoria where as i find it useless for anxiety and if anything i find it somewhat dysphoric in higher doses. Other people find Lorazepam to work great where as 20mg's taken sublingually and 8mg's IVed produced basically no effect on me at all not even mild drowsiness. However i do find that Temazepam is the only benzo including IV Diazepam and IV Lorazepam (i had vials of both) to pack any euphoria. It just feels super relaxing to me and as i can be abit high strung at times that alone can be euphoric for me. It feels sort of like being slightly drunk if alcohol had alot less side effects and was alot more euphoric.

However if you are looking for anything like a opiate high or anything like that you will disappointing and considering you have a tolerance to Barbiturates it would most likely take a fuck load of any benzo for you to feel anything. Even Butalbital can produce bad physical dependence and unlike with opiates Barbiturate and benzo tolerance do not go down right away and it takes a very long time before they return to baseline.

Also to the OP in the future NEVER EVER withdraw from a Barbiturate or a benzo or any other gaba drug such as Alcohol or GHB cold turkey. Withdrawing from that class of drugs cold turkey can cause seizures and in very rare cases death. Barbiturates where noted as being especially difficult to withdraw from with seizures being a common occurrence during too abrupt a withdrawal
