Idk though as the theraputic doses are 12.5mgs four times a day which a lot of people are very happy with and I don't really start to feel opiate effects until about 150mgs so there maybe something else at work here.

I don't start to get "high" off of tianeptine until around 50-75mg plugged. Antidepressants aren't supposed to make people feel good, just make genuinely depressed people feel neutrally functional (which is arguably a problematic goal to begin with pharmacologically speaking). I'm skeptical that enhancing serotonin reuptake like tianeptine does actually does all that much more than inhibiting reuptake of serotonin like most other antidepressants, which rarely show effects greater than placebo. I wouldn't be surprised if very low dose heroin was an effective antidepressant either, just like it doesn't shock me that low dose ketamine is an effective antidepressant. Mu agonists reduce the perception of pain and NMDA antagonists block signals from the body, creating a "numbing" effect of a different sort. Low dose emotional "cushioning" of either kind may be enough to bring the depressed up to some distorted and approximate level of normal hedonic functioning (until tolerance inevitably kicks in leading to greater doses, greater side effects, and greater dysfunction). As alluded to above the effects of desensitization can be bypassed to some degree by cycling between compounds with varying mechanisms of action, assuming the depressed do not try to get "high" from any of the referenced compound classes, though this option still typically sidesteps identifying the real problems and making painful decisions to address them.

Wow, what a crazy evening. We were going to trip, but she wanted to wait a bit, and then sudden;y the wood burning stove caused a fire in the chimney. We called the fire department and they were there from 7 til 10:30pm. They had to destroy the chimney because the lining had gotten old and there were holes in which creosote had accumulated so basically the interior of the chimney was smoldering. When they got there the wood in the attic was about 10 degrees away from combusting. But fortunately everything got dealt with. But it derailed the plans entirely. Good thing we didn't decide to take the psychedelics earlier, that would have been really shitty. Instead, I cooked dinner and fed some of the firemen and me and the girl I was visiting hung out and talked.

It was going really well before that too, we were finally hanging out alone without roommates and talking about some pretty intense personal stuff. Oh well. She wants to hang out this week sometime before her daughter gets back so we can trip like we were going to.

Now that I'm home, earlier than expected... I decided to plug 33mg of 2C-C. :) I haven't tried 2C-C since my very early days of psychedelic exploration. Looking forward to seeing what transpires.

That's rough dude, chimney fires are a big deal. Just last year a house no more than half a block down from mine burned to the ground due to a chimney fire. It's a bummer your plans were interrupted, but at least you didn't have to deal with that while tripping.

so many fires lately

girl in the lounge had a bad fire this weekend. laika had a fire earlier this year. we had a pretty bad fire at my factory last weekend that we had to call the fire department for.

I'm so convinced my work is going to burn to the ground eventually. Our oven is having problems turning off and re lighting, so instead of fixing the problem, my boss just leaves it on 24 hours per day. It's a two level 650 degree stone oven. I can't imagine a bigger fire hazard, not to mention our electrical wiring is totally shot- if you plug a phone charger into the wall it trips the breaker because we have so many appliances running.

Yeah, weird. The more I think about it, man, that was crazy tonight. We were chillin, talking, and then she suddenly was like, whoa, the chimney's on fire. I could see flames flickering in the little cracks between where the wood stove tubing went into the wall, and a little flame even snaked out a few times. Bad situation. The firemen were pretty frustrated too at first. They had 3 fire trucks and like 25 firemen, it was nuts. At first they were pretty concerned that the attic was going to ignite. Then there were these 2 hot spots that they eventually had to axe into the chimney to open up (from inside, in her bedroom). They actually broke the entire chimney and threw it down off the roof, the house shook a few times when a really big chunk fell. Even after 3 hours these 2 hot spots weren't cooling down but finally they did... they were about to bring in bigger equipment and actually rip out the entire chimney inside and outside. The fireman I fed dinner to said that chimney fires are the worst but this was one of the worst situations with one he's seen that didn't result in a house fire. Still, the outcome was really good, the house is fine, the landlord blames himself because he put the chimney in himself (instead of her/her roommates), no one was hurt, even the firemen had a pretty good time because we talked to them a lot and tried to hang out with them as much as possible. Lots of laughter. :)

It was hilarious, one of the firemen kept pronouncing chimney like this: "chimlee". The first time I thought it was a mistake but nope, that's how he says the word. =D

So I finally have a recording to share with you guys... this isn't actually with my band, well, the bass player, but the guitar and drummer in this track are other friends. This isn't my favorite thing we've done but it's nice. It was pretty experimental as we'd mostly been playing in minor keys. It's me on the piano/keyboard. It's 43 minutes long, it actually fades into something minor towards the end and probably would have continued for another hour in different forms except the neighbor came down and yelled at us, which we cut out just before that became audible at the end of this. :)

Yesterday we did maybe the best thing I've ever played in. It was weird, they had been jamming all day and the bass player was tripping (though I didn't know that at the time). I walked in, a bit early to meet with another friend, and I was like oh, there's jamming, I'll join. At the time I thought it was pretty lackluster but when we listened to the recording later that night I was blown away. Super psychedelic and just like, wow I can't believe I did that. I'm looking forward to being able to share that here too. :)

Oh yeah here's the soundcloud link which is from a few days ago (not the one I was just talking about): https://soundcloud.com/user208566572/1-26-15-d-major-jam-eric-robbie-matt-and-dean

Freakin groovey! Definitely going to be using that track for tonight's psychedelic headspace. I'm really diggin your all's bassist. Makes me miss my cheapo LTD 5 string. While I do love instrumental music, some conservative female vocals would fit it really well.

Thanks. <3 I can't fucking wait to upload the one from last night, it's really awesome. I'm actually a little in pain right now that I have no access to it, it's on my friend's computer.

I also can't wait to upload some of my band's jams, it's much harder, and the guitar player is insane, Jimi-esque to be perfectly honest. He plays Jimi Hendrix better than anyone I have ever heard. He said that one day he was tripping and Jimi entered his body and showed him how to play the songs and how to do his swagger. Really intense dude, but a true musical entity. If he doesn't implode I am positive he will be great.

Been drinking immoderately with the neighbors, to discussion and punk music. Not sure how much beer I've had, but I'm working on a bottle of sweet white wine (worth $12 a bottle, I get'em for $3). This is good, I was sober for a while there, and I was terrible struggling with the question of whether I wanted to get better, or I wanted to die, leaning towards the latter.

Here's a song. You know I'm pretty damned drunk when I assert myself as the sole Disney fan in the thread. Haha.

Been smoking herb daily, I must say that is is more helpful than the meth at getting me through the day. And as a bonus I'm getting it for free. Teeheehee~

At the risk of sounding a bit homosexual, your personalty reminds me exactly of a meth tinged, slightly bi polar version of the first girl I ever loved(Chelsy<3 I miss you)

holy crap dude that is AMAZING

i'm trying to think of who it reminds me of, maybe a little bit of p-groove except without the electronic influence

when you guys really started to break out the funk about 30mins in, i was sitting here permagrinned just nodding my head along like "yes yes, that's the stuff right there".

was that just straight up d-major or one of the modes of d-major?

Thanks dude. :) It's straight D major, basically... some brief shifts into B minor throughout. But to be honest I'm not fully comprehending it, it's mostly just coming out subconsciously. Lots of stuff happens in a 41 minute jam. :)

I can't wait til I can post this other one, you'll love it.

I just tried 60mg and it certainly causes a noticeable mood lift but in way does it remind me of opiates. Maybe higher doses is what brings that to surface.
Flawed, I know you said it synergizes well with MXE but in what way? How is it different than MXE on its own? I've always enjoyed the effects of MXE with kratom or with oxy because it made it easier to nod and the nods were more dreamy.

I felt it synergized with it better than kratom. I'm not currently too articulate due to over-usage but Brighter is the best way I can describe it. Although I've done it more times than I care to admit I am still about mixing uneasy the two due to my lack of knowledge of intreractions. It at least feels safe.
