Kidnapping and stealing your shit like they do now
Ive never understood why most cops seem to enjoy arresting people for drug related crimes and watching them go to prison for a long time? Since they are cops ..to protect the health and safety of the general public first and foremost, shouldnt they actually enjoy watching people go into some kind of treatment instead of jail, where people become better criminals and make better connections for when they get out...?? WTF?

There are so many steps, and the law is slowly changing but bottom line ime, is - They have to make their quota!
lol. I've been to jail for nothing, and wasn't even harming anyone… but myself.
They make money every hour they are out there arresting someone, regardless of their beliefs. Unfortunately.

Yea, it does seem they will 'find' something to arrest someone for, if they really want to, they have so many goofy laws, they can justify about anything they want to do in most cases..it sucks, because a few ruin it for the majority...I never had any problems when going to meet my connection to cop, never any violence or arguments, exact same thing as running into a friend in public somewhere, NO ONE is being harmed, or even at risk for harm, I know my connect never had a gun, I didnt either, so in most cases, people out copping dope are really not a threat to anyone,its just a simple drug deal..its the fucking pigs that made it SEEM much worse than it actually was, to further their personal views about drugs and users, feeling they NEED to bust as many as possible. I think if more people knew how benign a normal drug deal truly was, they would not consider them to be a problem. People are always meeting in public to cop from their connection, most of the time, it goes un-noticed by everyone, just looks like 2 people running into each other in public. lol
Plus, last time I checked our county/state pays about $40. per day to house someone in jail, so its costing alot of money to be arresting people for stupid shit
I dont think I would be a good cop either, I have a feeling Id be abusing my power, not to arrest more people, Id be trying for personal gains, financial, etc.I dont think I could deal with knowing I put somebody in jail, especially for drugs or something so minor, Id feel like shit for ruining their lives from a charge I gave them, unless it was like a child molester or someone hurting animals, in those cases, I would ENJOY arresting them and knowing their lives will be as rough as possible!

The higher % of society non drug users will not completely understand, and think that incarceration is the method of control. Peace of Past has a good point.
And the US is the worst, we've got like 25- 30 % or the worlds prisoners and this is increasing, costing billions of dollars (then more prisons are built, lol), a lot incarcerated for mere drug related offenses due to a failed fiscal system via the drug war. People will continue to use no matter what it just.doesn't.work. Such a joke at the expense of many lives….

my shrink knows I smoke pot and that is all I do that is, well decriminalized where I live... and I take my meds for psych reasons and she knows I have popped a few extra here and there but there are other times where I take a lot less because I do take them for a reason so ... fuck it...
