Happy 50,000th Shambles

And I post anything but shite?! =D
Shambles posts, be they faecal or not, are half the reason I began using this site. And he did not force me to say so in any way, shape, or form... ;)
 
I really can't wait to meet you BHM simply for the fact that I have your permission to punch you in the bollocks. Some people deserve special attention. =D

When I was in the psych ward, there was this lovely wee man who had been there for 18 months. Every Friday, he would dress up in his wee suit and present the head doctor with a little letter providing all of the reasons that he should be discharged. I wonder if he's still in there with that critter that dressed denim-on-denim-on-denim and helped me feed the little wagtail that always visited.

I found this to be true, also. The man in the bed beside me (the bed parallel to the one I was sleeping in, not my bed) just had Parkinsons and dementia, it seemed.

I also found it to be a little holiday. I didn't mind the food either; plenty of praties and salmon, too!

I hope that what I'm gna say doesn't offend you in any way, as I'll always be grateful for the way you defended me in past situations n for the fact that you n Allein were the first ppm I talked to in PM, when I joined EADD.

I feel that the post count is irrelevant. What I feel is relevant in celebrating in regards to you is your remarkable knowledge in harm reduction---the way you've used this to help anyone on this site who have asked for it, your honesty---you don't beat around the bush if you've tried summit n it's not been HR, but you make it noted the possible risks. I feel that people relate to that n warm to it.
You always (or at least so I have seen) see the good in people. You're fuuny n intelligent but modest with it, you're not boastful or conceited n try to help people who need it.
I do not feel you ARE EADD but a major part of EADD n without you it wouldn't be the same for like a jigsaw puzzle---EADD is a collective, with each poster contributing n all valuable in his or her own way n that's what I feel is worth celebrating.

Eh???? I agree that Sham's posts are informative, funny or witty n a pleasure to read. My point in my post is that each of his posts are as much valued if he'd produced 5 posts, 50 posts, 50,000 posts or the maximum (if there is one).
Quality over quantity n Shamz has plenty of quality in most of his posts. And I believe that, THAT is what truly counts as appose to discussing the post count which I feel doesn't do him the credit he truly deserves, as discussing the quality..... I feel that too many are fixed with posts counts.

I'm probably not explaining myself very well so will leave it (unless someone else is better with words than I, n can phrase it better????

PS: someone mentioned Captain.Herion being a "Lounge Rat," that's not necessarily true. I talk to CH n regard him a friend (must drop him a PM) n he tends to visit most of Bluelight, including TL. He's a very interesting poster n is currently writing up a novel n has produced some interesting poems / verses in the "Words," section of BL. He was actually on staff once but that was before my time here.
