Sorry if i put this in the wrong place. Not really completely familiar with where everything goes here yet. Anyways, a friend of a mine is thinking about buying a large large(25g) amount of all the legal tryptamines out there along with several other RCs. He was wondering how he would go about storing them long term since they are very prone to oxidation. He would like them to keep indefinitely(longer then 10 years) and was wondering how to go about this. Would keeping them in an amber bottle in a freezer work or would it still oxidate to psilocin after so long? The container he's going to be storing it in is one of the amber 500ml bottles used to store reagents. I realise that there's already been threads like this but i didn't see any that talked about storing these chemicals in amounts this large and i didn't know if that would complicate things.

4-aco tryptamines are not prone to oxidation? It's the 4-HOs that are. Water is what converst 4-AcO to 4-HO tryptamines, not air.

If it's stored in a dry, drak cool place it should last a long time.

I thought they were. I was under they oxidate to form 4-ho and then those oxidate to something else. Maybe not oxidate but degrade. And i thought the reason for watet converting them had to do with the oxygen in the water kinda like how rust forms?

Edit: under the impression*

I've stored 4-aco-dmt for years in an amber vial thrown in the freezer with no issues or potency loss. If your worried about moisture you can throw in some silica. Just be sure to wait until your vial is room temperature before opening to prevent any condensation.
