Hi there. My name is John, and I'm 21. I have seen bluelight' forums many times from my search engine results and I've found it to be a wonderful source of opinions from people's experiences. The main reason I made an account was so I could post, and ask a specific question. It was about mixing adderall/vyvanse with SSRIs (Prozac, Zoloft, etc...) and with Buspar. I do enjoy the level of comfort that I get from talking about my screw ups, and I think this is a useful place to hear of the good and bad things that have happened to others. I love animals, women, drugs&alcohol (love hate relationship) , my friends, video games, soccer, my family, and some other stuff haha. Anyways, I play GTA V Online a ton Hahahahaha on Xbox one, so if anyone wants to add me on xbox one, or steam for PC just let me know besides that I am trying to figure out my life and find a direction, or more so a path that I find suitable. Whether it's school, or moving up in a job I am still trying to do both. I struggle with major depression, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and OCD. I have been to several outpatient programs, and now I'm just seeing a psychiatrist and psychologist. I could go on for another 5 pages lmao, but I'll stop here and save you all the trouble

Welcome to bluelight, i wouldn't recommend taking any kind of stimulant together with antideppresants such as Prozac. The effects might be cumulative leading to uncomfortable over-stimulation, i doubt it will lead to serotonin syndrome(Which can be dangerous) however i would rather practice caution if i were in your position.

I'm new to Bluelight as well! I have been reading for a really long time and joined the other day.
I take 20mg of Prozac daily and I was told muscle relaxers could cause serotonin syndrome. In all reality it just depends on dose.
I was taking Adderall 5mg twice daily with my 20 mg prozac and that seemed to be a good fit. My doctor had no problem with it but really you should just inquire about your dosage and if it's a safe bet.

Hi Mogli, I am also a 'greenlighter' with even fewer posts than you, while we share many of the same interests we also seem to share the dubious diagnosis of depression among other co-morbid mental 'illnesses', when it comes to the 'works' I have tried it all but am trying to keep the pharms to a minimum (which for some may be their maximum...what can I say? High physical tolerance combined with little to no tolerance with the BS associated with trying to trudge through daily life in our currently twisted, megalomaniacal society at large) and supplement them with only some hydro (ya know for my luck dragon ). I TRY to steer clear of the opiates/ opioids as my luck dragon would just snarf them all down within a fraction of the time my rx was written to last me...alas, they are just to yummy to dabble with any longer. When it comes to Xbox I seem to be particular to Slenderman, when it comes to gaming I like to kick it old school. If you want my handle on xbox feel free to mssg me here for it but be aware that I don't use it to converse as it is not my system alone, you can add me as a friend here if you like and feel free to speak plainly in any mssgs/ correspondence here on bluelight

Welcome to you as well floosie, 5mg of adderall is as small of a dose as it gets, lucky for you it seems to get the job done, no? I take 60mgs of Vyvanse, 80mgs of Latuda, 2mgs of Xanax, 10mgs of ambien and supplement with hydro on a daily basis...must say I'm a tad envious that the lowest doses of 2 common psych pharms have sufficed for you, my psych issues have plagued me for yrs and it just seems that no sooner do we (my shrink, my luck dragon and I) find a seemingly winning combo that something goes most horribly wrong usually requiring a trip to the local looney bin to decide which pill we're going to blame and which pill is going to take it's place

Yeah, I have never really known for sure if I have add/adhd, but a few psychologists thought I did. The main reason I probably haven't been prescribed adderall/vyvanse is because I have terrible anxiety, and that is known to make it worse. Also, I have a very addictive personality and those stimulants are known to be addictive, and my psychiatrist know a of my past behavior so that is why they haven't been looking to go down that avenue. I'm going to talk to my psychiatrist this next month and explain to him if there is any way I could get a healthy dosage of adderall along with my other perscriptions. Thanks

Sometimes less is more...especially with amphetamines. I haven't been rx'd Strattera but insofar as 'euphoric' side effects are concerned most people prefer the stimulant pharms Dexadrine, Benzadrine, Adderall & Addies red-headed step-child Vyvanse. the issue with the last two is that the are comprised of amphetamine salts. Some cause pleasant feelings in most while at least one of them is not...I'm just speculating but perhaps they were formulated in such a way as to avoid further scrutiny as being nothing more than glorified speed as opposed to having legitimate theraputic value with the right patient in the right circumstances. I need to keep my opiate consumption low as like you I just lurve em...the Vyvanse helps with productivity (unless I start playing sudoku or something) and has it's "all is well with the world moments" but those are few and far between as compared to most potent opiates making em less yummy and less desirable to eat to many in my case
