Id agree with this. The Magic Flight is the best affordable vaporizer as it cost me around 65 dollars iirc.

The Volcano was cool but not 450 dollars cooler. I got the same high from the Magic Flight than I did from the Volcano and it was a thousand times more discreet and simpler to use.

Never really smoked prior to this so was basically a newbie with zero tolerance when I got it.
Bit of a steep learning curve with a few ‘holy shit waaaay too stoned’ moments but once I started weighing it out it became more of a science.

Really portable, almost like having one of the old chunky Nokia phone’s in your hand.
Also comes with these glass bowls so DMT etc is an option although I haven’t been down that route yet.

Add some Mxe in and you can have some incredibly internal trips just lying down with the lights out.

I'd hope it would be pretty nifty for that price. The "spare set of two glass oil jars allows you to vaporize essential oils or blends and waxy concentrates" looks like it could come in handy though, i must admit.
 
I've got a £20 mains powered vapouriser, which I got off eBay and it's really good. It's a simple design, with a glass top and a whip, so you don't have to keep moving it. Definitely worth the money.
 
Updates! I bought the Davinci Ascent as my post hospital reward and it arrived yesterday. Had a couple of bowls last night and got quite stoned :)

One thing I'm not really sure about is how you know the bowl is finished? I took half a dozen or so deep puffs on it before I emptied the bowl, but I wasn't really sure if I should keep going or not, since there was no discernable change in what I was breathing out (mostly air with the faintest white "smoke" cloud visible). I've got no sense of smell or taste to judge either, which makes things tricky. The weed I put in came out dry and light brown in colour though, which is how I remember the old volcano we had at uni doing it...

Ok I know this probably sounds stupid but would it be possible to put a drop of the nicotine juice used in e-cigs in with the weed in my vaporiser? I'm getting good at getting nicely stoned with the vape now my technique is improving, but I still keep feeling like something is missing and then going to smoke a rollie right after. I'm just so used to the hit being weed and baccy that weed alone doesn't seem to cut it. Smoking a cig after or just going back to spliffs completely defeats the point of getting the vape in the first place so I'm hoping this will work, but what do I need to buy and how much do I need to put in, does it need diluting? Or is this just a terrible idea?
 
Josh, yes I know exactly what you mean and I have been doing just that for years. I mix one or two tiny beads of nicotine juice into a vape bowl to make it taste and hit more like a spliff. The PG/VG gives extra body to the vapor and can increase smoothness, especially with dry/dusty weed. You need to just get regular 12mg/ml or 18mg nicotine juice in one of those needle-type dropper bottles and carefully squeeze out small drops:

Don't use too much nicotine juice at once, soggy bowls don't vape well. With juice your bowls will last a few hits longer so don't empty them too early.
(I'm using an Arizer Q vape at 195-205c degrees--you want to stick around 200 degrees for vaping nicotine juiice)

It might help with the feeling that "something is missing" but I'm afraid it still won't tick ALL the boxes! My brain needed a long time to adapt to vapor-only instead of spliffs (but it happened eventually).

I'm definitely going to get saving up for one of these. I need off the baccy. Both my mother's parents died of lung cancer, and my grandad gave up smoking a year before my mother. (Nan carried on until she suffered a stroke, from which she never fully recovered. A second or third cousin of mine from that side, whom I'd never met, passed away last year and he was younger than me.

Besides which, another rechargeable device in my bedside drawer isn't going to arouse any more suspicion. HEY, WHAT A COOL IDEA -- the JMP Vape 'n' Vibe (TM), for pleasure either way!
 
My mate has a volcano we use regularly it's ace.

Not had a go on a vape pen for herb yet, if i really wanted to use one for weed I would probably make oil, dissolve it in to pg/vg and then use a regular one though.

Had a cheaper model, with an extremely thin top, but that got smashed. This one has a top like a fucking jam jar, and a metal body, so can withstand a beating. Smoking with no tobacco/chance of cancer is nice. Buy one! :)

Of course, after a few weeks of moderate use, you can use isopropyl alcohol to retrieve the yummy resin left behind on the glass. It's an extremely cost-effective way of consuming weed!

Those jam jar vaporizers aren't really any good because they don't have any effective temperature control. A proper vaporizer will get you much more stoned from half as much weed & should be healthier, so it's worth spending more than £15 to get one that works properly.

I just got another vape, Hebe Titan 2, they're under £40 on ebay, rechargeable pocket sized, digital temperature control. It works well, can't complain for the money, only problem is it has a plastic mouthpiece so it doesn't taste as good as my flowermate (ceramic oven, glass mouthpiece), but it has a few advantages: big oven, cheap, light, durable.
 
It's got a temperature dial, so it doesn't burn the weed. It's extremely effective.
 
I've just bought a crafty I'm still trying it out but so far it seems pretty awesome. It hits you seriously hard. Pretty much like doing a bong and produces a lot of vapour and seems very efficient.
