Its very sad, my thoughts go out to the victim's families. I hope the gunmen are caught and sentenced accordingly for the atrocious crimes they have committed against civilians, but at the same time I've seen some pretty despicable comments on other forums about Muslims, so I'd just like to leave this here;

Agreed. I would, however, like to see more high-profile Muslims publicly speaking out against these atrocities. Would go a long way towards diffusing tensions.

As always, 'moderate' muslims (ie muslims) have rightly spoken out, but strangely it doesn't seem to be thought of as news as much (though i did see one on the telly for a change).

This is senseless horrible violence by nutters - not islam as i understand it.

The French and British government also played a big part in this - they have been arming insurgents to destabilize Syria / Libya etc. They cannot expect to fan the flames in one country and not get burned at home.

This Isis threat is very real and has a lot of people thinking about what their role in the Middle East has been.

Exactly. The problem being that large parts of the UK don't have a notable Muslim population (where I grew up, for example). The only knowledge of Muslims that these people have are what they see on TV and read in the news. I'm lucky in that I've now moved to Sheffield and have one very close Muslim friend and many shisha buddies.

I know that real Muslims condemn these attacks from having contact with many of them in real life. Many others in this country (most of my family, for example) don't have this privilege and inevitably end up drawing the wrong conclusions.

What are they thinking,that 1.57Billion Muslims work with or support Isis? Fucking stupid

edit - i am not saying this attack was Isis, i don't know i haven't read about it tbh.
Although 100% the western world will jump on this,i already know the headlines without even looking at them yet
 
Really? oh OK i did not see that.

Seems to be a lot of talk about Muslims and not enough about Isis
