What's up Flo <3 You're among nutty friends here ;) It's shitty stuff ain't it petal. I have numerous psych disorders that when they play up they fucking go for it :! I have a lovely gothy Polish psych who's been a massive help and been a cunt too adding all sorts of fanny prescriptions to my usual meds - caused all hell to break lose for a bit there :\

Are you getting disassociated out the house?

It ebbs and flows..Christmas like for many people is a particularly emotionally challenging time for me..most serious life events personally and to do with family happened around then..aghh it's boring to talk about..just another twisted dysfunctional and psychopathic family unit fucked up..

Anyway yep irony was once upon a moon I was a £40ish k Senior Mental health social worker..now that's irony and true scariness in action 8o

Anyway at tale end of it she says as she slurps a little chablis and snooteles a teeny tiny little pirate oo arr..

I always thought mental health social workers carried out some damn stresfull and unrecognized work. Not sure if completly true, but thats what i imagined.
A bit like priests perhaps without the comfort of supposedly divine backing
 
Trust me nothing really surprises or shocks me anymore.I have witnessed and heard the most extreme behaviours you could even try and imagine. I did find it really hard doing the forensic work though. Working with rapists, murderers and pedophiles and monitoring for the home office reports when they often came out of their forensic unit to establish and make their way back in the community extremely soon often after their crime..with of course diminished responsibility. There are the mad and there are the mad and bad...was burnt out after ten years..and that part of my working life is well and truly over.

Hopefully will be in for a week, but last time I got opened up laparotomically (is that a word?) I had an ileus for about 5 weeks and was stuck in hospital for 7. Had to have a PICC line and everything. So hoping that doesn't happen this time! My plan for in hospital is: Masters snooker until it finishes on Sunday, and then Resogun (mindless side scrolling shooter with loads of arcade style high score besting replayability) on the Vita afterwards. I'll fire up the pain thread once I get my phone back after the op though, so I'll be accepting support and distractions in there. And posting pics of the awesome train track installation I'll have from my sternum to pelvis!

As for Twitter, I don't know! I've made about 10 tweets in the last 5 years, usually when I occasionally try to become more active on there. It all seems a bit too impersonal for me though, much prefer Facebook with its semblance of privacy and threaded conversations. I do follow loads of games industry notables though, so I guess it is vaguely useful from a career perspective in that sense. It's more of a news ticker than anything to me.
 
Oh trust me I know enough psychiatrists, mental health nurses and social workers etc with often extreme coke habits or alcohol. Often on anti depressants and sleepers too...mind you my experience of that is purely based on workers practicing in inner cities...Think it could have been a different story if working in 'nice' provincial areas with case numbers that were manageable and were within N.I.C.E guidelines..I had 62 I think on my caseload when I left..think the guidelines were then meant to be about 25ish..anyway yep a different life...long enough ago.

Fuck I am fucked..Mr Inflo playing some luscious music in tuther room may have to investigate..

Same here regarding twitter, useful to keep up with news and following some interesting people etc but cant really be assed with it too much apart from a quick browse through now and again

It allegedly uses facial recognition technology to find your celebrity look a like...it's hilarious.Loaded a picture of my most beautiful female friend and it came back with loads of men's faces and aged her about 20 years..She looks a lot like a cross between a young Cybill Shepherd and Patricia Arquette!!! My ginger best mate's image came back with quite a few black actors and Simon Pegg..and yet I can't stop.

I locked myself out of my Twitter account accidentally years ago-forgot my password and had made a new email up just for making the account..which I forgot too..not been back..shame as me and Omid Djalili used to get on pretty well..he is a very funny man and bright as a buton imo.
