Idk I always get that much for Xmas and birthday pretty much cos I prefer getting money than getting presents I don't really want/need.

Though obviously now I am a bit fucked for money it will definitely come in handy for boring things as well as naughty drug fun which was what I blew (appropriate word choice) it all on last birthday/xmas but I have had my sudden moment of growing up recently so I know to get where I want to be now I need more balance.

Nothing wrong with getting excited about scents! I currently have Davidoff Cool Water, YSL l'Nuit, l'easu de d'Issey, Paul Smith Extreme, Burberry Brit, JPG Homme, Givenchy Gentleman...love nice aromatics. I would love some of that Tom Ford for myself (or the Azure Lime one) but I simply can't justify the price for myself (£150 for 50ml)

£150 for 50ml?! Thought my usual one was dear at £70ish for 50ml.

I have a decent selection of reasonably pricy ones, couple of the dior poisons, j'adore, estee lauder sensuous and chanel no5 plus some mini dior ones and a cheap nina ricci one... problem is they're all virtually empty and as I didn't buy any of them myself to start with I can't really afford to replace them all. Hence looking at slightly cheaper options, that diesel one was only £32 for 50ml so hopefully it'll be a decent replacement for the time being.

I'd like to have a massive collection though one day, it's something that's really taken my interest recently for some reason. Next on my list is Marc Jacobs daisy or thierry mugler angel if anyone wants to give me a late xmas pressie

Yeah the Tom Ford ones are really pricy but they are extremely powerful and long lasting as they are all based on essential oils, and fuck me they smell amazing. You don't have to spend crazy money though (at least you don't with male eau d'toilettes), Davidoff Cool Water is cheap as chips and it's a timeless classic. Not particularly refined but everyone likes the the scent and it lasts all day with one or two sprays.

I've got a couple of replacements I want to make (Acqua di Parma and Burberry Touch) but I'm going to save my pennies for some Tom Ford instead I think. Bit of a fairy when it comes to loving my scents. Might start fucking around trying to mix essential oils and see what I can cook up at home, I've got a burner I can chuck them in if what I make is shite.

Owain, have you tried Tom Ford's Tobacco Oud? It's my favorite from the private blend range. By the way, you should check out some Amouage stuff if you want real opulence.
