As the title suggests I just wanted to wish MDB good luck in his first day at his new job - provided he didn't get his etiz dose wrong last night and sleep through his alarm again in which case.......

WAKE UP MBD YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE THREE HOURS AGO!!!

Haha!!...good luck mate and stick with it we're all routing for you :)

God I hope not. Being late or phoning in sick before you've actually even started isn't a great beginning (although I'd be a liar if I said I'd never done exactly that in my previous career) ;)

^This.

I've not been around much recently, had no idea you were once again gainfully employed so congrats & hope it works out well. :)

Thanks folks. I have surrounded myself with a neurotics cacophany of alarm clocks, it's like something out of a 1970s Woody Allen farce but it works. :D

With my 2nd jar of my etiz mixture seeming to have 'settled out' i seem to have miraculously tapered my dose down to 5mg, as measured and compared against the proper pharma intaas etilaam blistered pills, which i hadnt used for ages. Infact i could feel the 'hit' from 5 of them more strongly and definately than i can from 8-13 mg of the etiz pg mix. God I've been so lucky. Tapered down from 13-10 mg by 8-5 mg without even consciously knowing i was doing so. 8o8(

I guess this is one of the problems (or positives in this case) of PG mixes if the powders dont dissolve 100% completely or evenly. Even though it was thoroughly warmed and stirred. But then stored untouched in the fridge for a few months. I can only assume that when i shake the jar before use i'll have a mega concentrated mix, after presumably 'syphoning off' the what must have been a more dilute top layer. so I'll have to experiment with that on my days off to get an idea how much i need.8) Ive repeated the warming and stirring process but there's still a load of 'floaters'. :sus:

Work went OK, first impressions are that the new place will suit me far better than the previous place. Far less stress and pressure, decent team to work with, the building is also far smaller, which i prefer, the other place was so vast and anonymous it felt like Heathrow Airoport or something, and i felt like a little worker ant.

I guess a lot of people have one job at some point in their life that just doesnt work out. Hopefully that was my one and only such experience. :\

Glad to hear it went well dude. :D

Are you in a position to start afresh with a new etiz/pg batch? You're never going to really know what the concentration of your current batch is now, it would suck to fuck up the new job because of it. I had a few dodgy times in a similar situation, only with phenazepam (which ended in a very dodgy situation which we won't talk about here), sleeping through alarms and not making it into work before lunch time and then going straight back to sleep at my desk :(

I wonder if there is a batch size which is large enough to give you the calibrated dose you need, but small enough you use it all before it settles out? Personally I wouldn't ever use a pg/benzo solution again, I never made it to the bottom of the bottle, perhaps I'd be dead now rather than just permanently scarred if I had!

That would be the most sensible thing to do, i dont think I'll make such big batches in future, a 1 litre pg 2g etiz powder mix wasnt such a good idea, in hindsight with the way its worked out. Even though it has worked out for the best in this case, it could have gone in the opposite direction. :\ If what remains of this batch is just completely unpredicatble then I'll have to do something that really goes against the grain and flush it. Otherwise it could just raise my tolerance all over again.

Wish i had more of those intaas etilaams, they are the only option that you really know exactly what dose you're actually taking. The vendor pills and powders and human error in mixing and storing them make them as bad as each other. Just ordered some diclaz powder for the 'end stage' of the taper. Gonna make smaller batches, and HOPE that the powder is what it says it is.

whatever gets you thru the day. work is four letter word indeed. I started a new job a couple of months ago and it's not perfect but it's good enough. Glad you're back at it mate. Good to fill the hours and get a cash reward for it.

bettings on how long it lasts:

after losing the last 2, and feeling quite remorseful for it I reckon he'll try harder this time. He seems more positive.

I reckon 4 months.

It sounds very promising mate and more of what you wanted than you had in your last job. Onwards and upwards for the new year. Good on you Mdb

On form tonight Raas. Been drinking much? :|

Yes. It's Christmas time, ended up vomiting red port over the carpet. Haven't done that in a long time. Going to give the liver a break tonight and stick to the single glass of communion wine at midnight.

Good luck to MDB, hope you didn't take my betting idea to heart.

I'm 4 months still

Bloody Gin Raas....seriously just asked my man how we could get to midnight mass...maybe gin and religion are inexplicably linked..saying that the only thing I miss about Catholicism is the singing and the beautiful smells emitting from the thurible..hic

Have already wished MDB best of luck with new job but I have a bit more faith if it's something more suited and enjoyable he will stay till he is ready to move on...

just to point out raas i have only "lost" 1 job, i left my original long term work place volunatarily after i handed my notice in around 2 years ago.

I'm not making any predictions, just taking things one day at a time, and not taking anything for granted.

Cheers Sprout and Max!

Good luck MDB i managed to get off vals when i had my job, even though when i first got it i fked up. having a job does help alot to get off that sort of drug. Not so much opies though :P i hope you manage to stick it out bru
