My oldest 27 is in love with a Ugandan girl. I'm over joyed :D My 25 year old is still a shite bag =D They're still amazing, but the age of your's are even so more. Enjoy every last drop Busty <3

We are heading back to her family for Xmas for the first time in 7 years.

I'm not too thrilled about a vegetarian xmas. It does seem right unless a pig, lamb or seafood is sacrificed for Jesus.

A bit random but anyone here good with cvs? First time i've written one, half way through, was wondering if anyone wants to have a lil look and see if its worded well enough

Im no expert though, i usually have ti just fill out the europass kind online. Not much value on wording in my branch...
 
Evening all,

Dan I sent you some web links ages ago of best way to do a cv..follow something like this keep it short and sweet and try and squish in as many transferable skills in the relevant bits as possible.

I am miserable and quite tearful..it's christmas so as per usual I have horrific nasty flu/virus so can't risk popping to see my 90 yr old Nan and dropping her present round etc..meant to be at Mr Inflo's best mates party but can barely stand and he won't leave me..with the exception of bravely just careering off to do the xmas food shop. I really dont deserve that man. All I could muster when asked what I wanted for food on christmas day (apart from the usual) was botttle of Baileys and a straw ohh and some savoy cabbage.

Have begged him to go to East London and be with his family Christmas day...he wont leave me. It was never planned he would but I really think he should..there may be an element of it being too difficult with his Dad now in latter stage of dementia and upsetting and he can't stand his sis in laws family but still...he says he would rather spend it cooking for us...xmas day bed picnic and watching me drift in and out of consciousness..making me so sad..he has such a beautiful family..and I don't ..making me teary that he said earlier I am his family and that is all he wants and needs and no way on this earth will he leave me alone xmas day..

Oh fuck ..love to all...sniffle..<3

Mine just seems to be a copy /paste of my LinkedIn account these days. I dispensed with the personal statement and hobbies and interests bit ages ago, and got a bit more descriptive with my job roles in the employment section to make up for it. Still fits on one page though, and I recommend you try to keep it down to either one or two sides, nobody needs an essay.

Mind you, getting a job in my line of work is almost entirely portfolio based, so employers won't be looking at my CV unless the portfolio checks out, and probably only to get contact details for me. That said, all but one of my post-grad jobs have been acquired because I know someone already working there (it's a small industry, the best advice I was ever given was to not piss anyone off or burn any bridges, it's working out alright so far), so I guess I'm not the best person to ask about an effective CV!
 
I've had lots of CV and cover letter advice from "experts" lately, and they all have different opinions about everything. Fuck it.
 
Name, address, email, phone etc. Relevent work experience with a brief description. Qualifications and finally a little bit about yourself (not your life story though, hobbies/interests) just something to chat about so the interviewer can learn a bit about your personality when you sit down for an initial chat I guess.
 
Moved into my new flat share yesterday - I share a kitchen/lounge with a speedfreak, a pill head and a coke fiend... this should be fun!
 
My second day off and I'm up since 4am :( Not helped by having to sleep on the sofa. MrsMist not quite ready to let me back in our bed yet :\ At least I'm home and get to wake up with the kids and her...

So, Christmas eve then... To all those festive folks, have a good one, to those not into Christmas that much, nearly all over for another year... :D

Morning everyone!

Today is apparently the sunniest it s been in a while so no snow for xmas but whatever.
In a slightly surprising turn of events me and the mrs have et to be invited anywhere tonight so it may just be us and a bit of family enjoying some meal and drinks... used to be a 13h marathon of roamong from friend to friend drinking and stuffing face but this is what distances and a difficult busy personality will do to aquaintances.

Inflo get well soon! And might want to cut back a lil on the alcohol as it will do your flu no good. The paracetamol is there for you ;) as is that dream man of yours...

Oh yeah. The collective paranoia, anxiety and loss of perspective should make for a right cosy scene. 8(

I successfully left a gram of smack alone for the whole of yesterday evening, then cracked on my way to work, got halfway down the street, turned back and had a sneaky little toot. Just enough to make the prospect of a pointless day in work seem okay.

Despite having yet another rough sleep I am full of festive cheer (and will soon be even more so) as not only did my package arrive, it also turned up a couple of hours earlier than I expected.

Looks like it might be a drug filled xmas period (or eve at least) after all.
