Gibberings CLXXXIII - Christmas Trees are for presents, not masturbating under. IMO..

So you have...I like it..does Nigella dripping in honey compete? compute? oh fuck it I am fucked..don't let me take morphine again..everything is whooshy and slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. :\

So got into a fight thursday, not me started. The police came and took only me with them, fuckin 1 night in detention. Was hell, the police folks was evil & nasty. Stripped me for all cloth only not boxers. I fuckin said to the doctor who "checked" me, that I should be in a psychiatric hospital or sum thing, and told the police too. They didnt give a fuck. FUckin hell what a nightmare it was to be in there. I wasss crying, hammering on the door, they didnt give a shite. Going to hunt me this crrap, because they don't THINK about im sick & just kick me down etc.. :(

Fuck that sounds awful Nick. Did they let you go after 1 night in the cells?

I hope you're recovering OK and that no charges get pressed against you. Considering you didnt start the fight it was self defence surely. You might have been very unlucky with the timing that the police arrived, if theyd seen the other person start the fight theyd have taken him to the cells and not you. They possibly saw only you fighting back, which really sucks.

Thankfully more memebrs of the UK police are said to be getting training in how to deal better with people who may have substance misuse/alcohol and/or mental health issues. This hasnt come a moment to soon from what ive heard, similar things to what you've been through, excessive violent use of force, being overly brutal etc.

Yea lucky they did.

The police charge me for sayin things to them, but what would u ells do than shout stupid things when they kick u down when u nothing done to them? Its fucked up. One of the pollice, really loved to have the power. I could see it on him.

+ think the workers here charge me, because (them idiots hided them, they saw NOTHING) they could me hear shout loud when boxin with the other kid/man. OFC I shout when ssssum one hit me and start a fight. Its fucked up. But thank u very much MDB, means a lot <3

Luckily I got a friend who saw it all. Hope he will help me if going in court.

Aaaaah!! I'm sorry, I can't help but have a little braggy moment - mrcientist and I have had a rather good day =D

He's just submitted his thesis towards his PhD in molecular biology a couple hours ago after years and years of insanely hard work...

And I got accepted to the 5 unis I applied to for my MA/MSc! Edinburgh, Durham, Exeter, Manchester and Warwick. Feels fucking good for both of us =D
(btw if anyone has any suggestions or opinions as to which uni may be best (this is for either a Translation or Publishing program), that'd be helpful).

Bragging over but I need to share! =D <3

Manchester Uni has a very good rep, Im not just saying that cos i live here. I believe Durham and Edinburgh Unis are well respected too. I think Manchester and Durham are in the top 5 UK unis, just behind Oxbridge and Bristol. I dont think that Warwick and Exeter are rated anywhere near as highly, though tbh i dunno anything about Warwick uni, and I think Exeter is a 'new' university.

If I had the option of any of those I'd choose either Manchester or Edinburgh. (Edinburgh is a much more attractive city with its' handsome & impressive buildings and streets but it's bloody cold up there, even in the summer. Manchester arguably has a better nightlife, it's been voted the best place for nights out in the UK - not just by Mancs either).

I suppose it could also depend on what exactly you're studying, some of the less 'prestigious' unis have reputations for being very good in specific subjects. I wouldn't know about which unis are the best for Translation or Publishing.

rent is not cool, but mortage interest repayments being so high sometimes it works out cheaper. I intend to get a cheap place, quick mortage. lowest interest possible.

Interest rates are lower now than they have ever been iirc. When i were a lad interest rates were 12 or 13%, they've been at the current 0.5% for about 5 years but it feels like it's been forever.

If you take a mortgage out over 20+ years it works out you'll be paying 70+ a week interest for a place over 100,000

I looked into this recently. Decided may as well rent a room for the same money than pay all that

pffft ye change your avatar after months of indecision and painstaking image googlisation AND no one bats an eye lid...grrrrr

Yeah but it looks very similar to all
your previous av's. If it were something new and striking u may have got more attention

I purposefully looked for an image with similar facial tilt....Edie Sedgwick replaced with Nigella covered in honey ..similar =D...my work here is done..slomoflo hit the christmas snow..gonna be in soooo much trouble on a multitude of levels..hmm and gin and elderflower tonic and 8am start....eeeek.

lol

manchester is down at the bottom near the university of timbuctu..

lol, is it fuck, tier 4 according to this: University League Table 2015 http://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables/rankings

There have been about a hundred billion posts on TSR of students arguing about which university has a better reputation than whcih and so i would like to create a thread which gives future students a "rough" idea of what UK universities reputation is like. I would like to stress that prestige of course isn't everything when choosing a university and at the end of the day, you succeed in the university which you like the most.

Although it really does depend on area, we are sticking with "domestic" reputation. Here is a rough list:

Tier 1
Oxford and Cambridge

Tier 2
Imperial College, LSE

Tier 3
UCL, Warwick ,Durham

Tier 4
Edinburgh, Bristol, Kings, Bath, St. Andrews, Manchester

Tier 5
Exeter, Lancaster, Southampton, Newcastle, Loughborough, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, Sheffield, Glasgow, Leicester

Tier 6
Surrey, UEA, Sussex, Liverpool, Kent, Reading, Aston, Royal Holloway, Queen's Belfast

(i must admit it has 'slipped' a lot in the years since i was looking at unis, it was once once in the top 5 Unis students most wanted to go to. I froze in Edinburgh during a 'summer' holiday there, lovely 'refreshing Arctic breeze' that they have there:p)

edinburgh has the advantage that it isn't full of english people. Also being on the coast it does have a breeze yes, but it's hardly the arctic circle. Good access to ski slopes and lots of beautiful countryside. England is just all factories, coal smoke and BNP.
