Gibberings CLXXXIII - Christmas Trees are for presents, not masturbating under. IMO..

Well...kinda. Aside from all the near-death experiences :p
Nah, all I meant was that I'm getting way more sick now that I'm off drugs, bizarely - awful stomach pains, weakness, general dizziness, etc. And it's not WDs cuz it's been so long :|
Turns out drugs can actually be good for you...sorta!

Thanks for getting in touch via MDB. No bad feelings at all. Put it down to me being either pished / fucked and in a bad mood. No excuse I know, but I've been in a bad place myself this year with my own mental health issues and a professional career meltdown. Ignore what I typed. Just get yourself well and seek help for your emotional / psychological issues and if you come back, be mindful of the community here and integrating into it. We all have our moments, but it is a community - no single one of us is eadd / bl but a collective of like minded people trying to look out for each other and share harm reduction knowledge and experiences.

People like me come and go as life dictates. I have a lot on my plate and 2015 is going to bring me challenges so I'll naturally spend less time here because of that. No one here ever puts me off posting really - so ignore my bitchy comment please.

Peace to you, take good care of you and your wee one <3

Evening Eadd. I'm surfing about between here and another anti- consumerist forum where a group of folks are kindling an online revolution. Between that and post Scottish referendum activity, I'm a busy bunny at the moment!

Hope you are all well and not behaving yourselves too much ;)

Summer you're a fabulous, but lazy bitch =D:p <3to Danx

A perma-ban?? How weird are you planning on getting?;)

Maybe just log off, watch a film or something instead.. save you some points and save me or any other mods lifting our lazy fingers... sound good??

@FG: The next point you get might trigger a massively more lengthy temp-ban than last time, and I don't think the mods have the level of control over that that you seem to assume. If you think you're gonna do something daft, then try NOT doing something daft??? :\

no i was thinking more like the 8 day ban i got last time for embedding videos i know it's up to me to be more careful but he damn things can take over and ive got this split personality thing to deal with and it its very very self destructive

I'm sure you know this but just to make it clear... all disciplinary action is essentially on tracks. Once a mod infracts a member - no matter what the actual reason for that infraction happens to be - that member receives a point on their account. The more points you have on your account the longer the tempban will be up until a person gets to ten points which then triggers a permaban. Mods only decide whether or not an infraction is necessary, We have no control over the length of ban that it may trigger.

I actually can't recall how long a four point ban is but the month you suggest sounds about right to me. You'd have to work very hard indeed to manage to work that up to a permaban whilst tempbanned for a month.

I think the discipline aspect of modding is one that many people greatly misunderstand. I can't speak for all staff but the vast majority hate having to use the disciplinary system. It's a last resort and only really used after multiple unoffical PM warnings and usually several zero-point official warnings. Infractions really are a last resort only used when all else fails.

As Felix suggests, the optimum is that people can simply not do the things they know damn well will earn them infractions. Personally I choose to not use BL when I'm uberfukked for any length of time. I know that's not an easy option but is perhaps why I've never been warned or infracted for owt...

well instead of a ban can you message me a warning just i am on now 5 mg and getting nowhere with them and just worried that ill fall a sleep and then next thing i know i am sleep posting just trying to stay safe of the rules as i really could be lost with this place

I just checked the Greenlighter's guide on Warning and Infractions and it's out of date :p

The current system is :-

2 points = 1 day
3 points = 3 days
4 points = 7 days
5 points = 2 weeks
6 points = 1 month
7 points = 3 months
8 points = 6 months
9 points = 1 year
10 points = 2 years

Permabans are reserved only for our very special memebers ;)

We don't do warnings and infractions to order, you have to earn them, how about you just log out ? I come up with these crazy ideas from time to time

^ I sit corrected. Now who do you get to infract for posting misinformation in the GLer Guide? =D

The problem with folk sleep-posting is that they don't tend to respond to PMs ;)

In EADD I can tell you for a fact that each case is taken on its merits. Given the nature of the forum we do try hard to take individual circumstances and situations into account as best we can.

I think I just experienced a little space-time wobble. I checked the time on my computer and it jumped from 13:34 to 13:35. Literally 5 seconds later it jumped from :35 to :36!
Or maybe I am finally losing it :sus:

That reminds me. Needs to grab another space-time placemat.

This is all 100% correct; and FG: I can pretty much guarantee that NO-ONE who is currently able to reverse a ban, or give you a custom-length one will do so for you. :D

Why not sign up for Drugs Forum, Urban 75, Reddit, or Pinterest? ;) If you feel like causing mayhem, go there and have at it. :D

i gather that infraction points expire after a certain length of time? Is it 12 months iirc?

THIS is the official statement, and it doesn't say. Hmmm... RP coming up for alasdair. :)

Infractions expire after 12 months. So good news for the people currently on 3-month bans, by the time they return most of their infraction points will be revoked.
