Oooohhh... tell me about it. Me too. My own self-destructive fuckups were a few years before yours, and were a force of nature. I still indulge in other massively less destructive substances nowadays, as is obviously apparent, and I am really lucky to have come out the other side with sanity and marriage and relationships still in existence. Got a lot of repair work to be done, and I'm actively working on that.
Maybe I'll find the time to catch up on the details of your past couple of years, or perhaps it might be better off to just start off from here and now. The latter is probably best. Hello. :D

Hey everyone!
Haven't been on here in ages so figured I'd stop by, give some news, see how everyone's doing. I hope everything's been relatively positive in EADD lately
On my end, mrcientist and I have given up drugs entirely since the aMT near-death accident early september, except for the occasional joint, maybe. So it's weird to be back on here, but our lives are definitely back on track. Also busy planning our July wedding and a gap year to Australia after that!
What's everyone else been up to?

Spiritualized?
Kota- Yah Spiritualized are probably my favourite currently active band. Could write an essay on them but am a bit too fucked right now to attempt such an endeavour.
Felix- correct. TBH I prefer their nineties weird shit but they still fucking own the world. Apparently Jason Peirce has indicated that the next Spiritualized album will be a return to the droney, druggy stuff he made in the 90s. Sweet Heart, Sweet light (my avatar) was apparently his attempt at making a "pop" album. Well done Jason. Ten-minute songs about transexual prostitutes having their pimps murdered by their infant children and his desperate search for redemption following a life of fucking up every chance that life has thrown his way.
Great pop album Jason. Now please replicate Pure Phase. Medication

It truly makes me unbelievably happy that people like Kota and Waterfall (& others) exist and are becoming a fixture of our forum. I really can't believe you two are 20/21, and I look back on myself at that age and do not understand why I was such an un-enlightened, uncultured, uptight and generally obnoxious individual. You two specifically and others I'm missing out here are so ahead of the curve, it's unfathomable to me.
You're both a different species to the similarly aged felix. My life would have been amazingly better and more fruitful if I'd had your mindsets & attitudes. This might not mean much to you, but I'm gonna put it out there anyway.

Cheers! I'll definitely try but we're still in the early stages of recovery so it's hard being around Bluelight unfortunately...he's actively avoiding anything connected to drugs but I definitely wanna try and see a bit more of you guys in the future.

I don't mean to sound all preachy (please tell me if I'm coming across as a self-righteous ass) but it really is possible to use drugs responsible without endangering your life every other week. I don't think anyone on here could cope with another death...take care of yourself people. mrcientist and I were just lucky that we took maybe 10mg of aMT too little not to die right then and there, but not everyone gets that lucky sadly
