Drugs in highschools these days!?!?

When I was in high school. LSD, mushrooms, ,ketamine and everything were just starting to get popular again and everybody wanted a piece of them. Coke was around Nd considered a cool drug. But heron and meth was always reserved for us top users.

I graduated in '99. when i was going to HS, the main drugs were weed and alcohol...a few kids did shrooms/acid, but I never came across those or anything else til awhile after I graduated. however, my best friend, who's 2 years younger than me, did everything from coke, to ecstasy, to meth, by the time he was 16, and told me that those were all floating around in his high school. so maybe I just wasn't in those circles.

Graduated couple years ago. Beer and weed were definitely the most used. Xanax was also pretty popular in my high school.

Heroin is taking over Texas though, knew a bunch of people who started shooting up around then. Most of them went to rehab/prison.
Last year, I heard my old school had 2 kids OD and died from heroin(maybe something else too). Cartels are really pushing that black tar around here.

I am too alarmed at the amount of hard drugs in high school. When I went it was just alcohol, and of course weed. You had to know the right people to get anything else, and then you weren't really going to school...
Yea same here. I think it has alot to do how entertainers glorify everything though

This is news to anyone? Though I only graduated about 4 years ago, stretch back another 4 years to 9th grade and there was still a shitload of drugs... mainly painkillers, coke, weed, and weed cookies sold under the teachers noses. When I later moved to Texas pharmaceuticals of any kind (though hydro and adderall were dominant) as well as poor quality coke flooded the high schools. I know my dad used to speak of "pure THC" (lol it was really just PCP), LSD, cannabis, and mushies were really easy to find in schools, so I never considered this a new phenomenon. I think it has more to do with your location, demographic, and school you went to than the practice itself.

May be the location but this is news to me. I graduated in 99 so I wouldn't consider myself that old

But depending on your place of residence, drugs have been popular in high schools since at least the 70's. It's all about the location, perhaps it just took longer to catch on in certain areas.

Drugs have always been common in highschools, the one thing I have found that is different is the wide variety of drugs available. Prescription drugs were big in the early 2000's(2000-2012is I'd say), but now iv noticed a lot more heroin as well as Research chemicals. It seems like RCs have become more of a common drug in highschools nowadays, and I'm not talking about spice, I'm talking about 25I, MXE, etc. Anyone else notice this?

Are you from europe? I'm sure that's a problem over there, possibly in some places over here as well, but I've never heard of drugs like mephedrone, MXE, or any of the RC's floating in the schools around here... with the exception of bunk LSD tabs and that may very well be NBOMe or methylone molly. To this day I have met like 2 people that have any clue wtf I'm talking about when I mention any sort of RC, and there were ravers. Go figure.

I went to a small private highschool in Virginia, graduated last year. I'd say the most popular RC's were mdxx chems passed off as "Molly" or 25i passed off as acid. Although there were a few people I knew that had tried less common RCs like mxe, 4fa, 4-aco-dmt, mdpv, and 2ce. I wouldn't say that there were many kids that had tried the less common RCs, but I'd say at least 15 kids had, and my school only had about 180 students. I'd say about 25-30 out of the 180 had tried some kind of RC, which is a surprisingly large amount. I think it must be that in the modern generation of high schoolers drugs from the internet have become more common "street drugs". Other than that I'd say at least 60-70% of the students had smoked weed or drank. Weed, alcohol, and tobacco were by far the most common, but prescription drugs(usually ADD meds, but sometimes opiates or benzos) were pretty easy to find as well. You could find just about anything except for obscure RCs, heroin, coke, meth, pcp, or crack, but weed, alcohol, and tobacco were the only drugs that were readily available and popular. You could find Psychedelics, "Molly", benzos, and prescription opiates if you knew the right people, but they weren't very common or readily available.

I was lucky. I waited til after school to really start using.

I decided to start using after I had my life together with a house & good job & money to lose instead of fucking around when I was a kid instead.

Oh, wait....
