Question about commonly prescribed opiods/ates why does my tolerance build up so incredibly fast I can take 2 10mg hydrocodone when I being but than no matter how much is consumed i cannot achieve the same euphoria and bliss and I've taken 5 at a time along with a .5mg kloponin and achieved nothing still stayed up for the whole night the only opiod that doesn't do this is oxycodone can someone explain why or say I'm not the only one :D

Tachyphylaxis, I'd say. It just kinda happens to some people. Same thing happened to me; the first time I took hydrocodone (my first opioid) 20mg had me feeling great, then a week later I tried oxycodone for the first time, and 10mg was an even better experience than the hydro. But then one week after that, I took 10mg of oxy, noticed that it wasn't peaking, then took 20mg of hydro on top of that, and still felt literally nothing for the whole night. Tolerance is a bitch, and I figured it definitely shouldn't have built up that much after a WEEK long tolerance break. Very disappointing day overall. I'll probably be taking some oxy again next Friday, at which point it'll have been 42 days since the "Day of Disappointment", so I'm hoping my tolerance will have gone down by then. If not I'll probably just start using H.

Best thing you can do to avoid tolerance is take 30mg of DXM (dextromethorphan) about 30 minutes before you take any opiates. Honestly, it potentates oxy so much so that I feel like I've taken double or triple the dose. Just don't overdo the DXM. IF you take upwards of 100mg in combination with opiates, you will definitely get light headed and probably be spending a lot of time over the toilet.

Unfortunately some of us are just wired up this way :(

I remember when I first took Oxy back at the start of 2010.... 20 mg had me feeling amazing! Within the blink of an eye I needed a full 80 mg to feel good... and then 160 mg and then..... Before I knew it 400 mg wasn't even getting me where I wanted to be! Now that is disappoinment! Not to mention a great waste of time, money, effort and health :(

My advice would be to get off the Opiate train now while you can!
