mixing anti depressents and MDMA

im going to a festival in approximately 2 weeks and have been medicating with apo-escitalopram for about 2 months. My friend is urging me to roll with him as he has picked up some fine quality MDMA (in the past i was a heavy drug user). Im just wondering if theres anything to be concerned about as i have completely stopped my drug use since being prescribed anti-depressents. I will refuse to do it if there is iminent negative side effects from rolling while taking anti-depressents.
 
The anti-depressants will completely dull the effects of MDMA to the point where it's not worthwhile taking it. If you want to roll again you should avoid anti-depressants for a few months.
 
It's not lethal ive tried it. all you get is an adderall-type buzz no rolling or anything

I mixed abilify with MDMA once and holyshit did that go wrong, i got really fucked up but i felt like SHIT the whole time
 
all im concerned about really is increased anxiety as i have a terrible run in my life of severe anxiety and panic attacks, which im only just getting in control of

SSRIs do not cause serotonin syndrome when combined with MDMA. On the contrary, apart from killing your roll they almost guarantee you won't get serotonin syndrome. You're thinking of MAOI anti-depressants
 
It has a half life of up to 32 hours. To calculate how long it takes to pass your body you multiply the half life times 5 = 160 hours /24= ca. 7 days. But even after this time your brain is trying to balance your imbalanced system and that takes time depending on your total durage. You probably won't experience a great trip even if you quit on your ssri.
 
I would like to chime in that not all SSRIs are eaqual im 350pounds 6ft and i took a turtle (not the crap ninja turtles that tend not to even be mdma but snapping turtle shaped) its probably in the ~100-150mg range and im on 30mg of Paxil a ssri, and a few other meds for sleep, anxiaty,ect (No MMOIs) and im haveing a pretty good roll for a dose that is low for my weight and so far ~3hrs into it I have felt totally in control of the roll. so SSRIs are not a definite roll killer, and if anything it makes it safer from the whitepapers i have read, less of a risk of Serotonin Syndrome, but YMMV.

^ 350 pounds and 6 feet, 30mg of Paxil isn't saturating SERT.

I had the same thing... was on 20mg of Celexa and could roll my ass off... they bumped it to 40mg and not even a buzz. And I'm about half your weight and an inch taller.

Half-lives don't apply here either... it takes awhile for the transporters to start functioning properly again post-SSRI, let alone the time it takes for them to start going the way MDMA wants them two. 14 days minimum before I'd say you'll get a full roll post-SSRI... more like 21 really.
