Gibberings CLXXXI - Is it Christmas yet?

I preferred Samhaingrim %) better the seductive devil I knew than the one I didn't who incarnated to Myshkin...bit of a manic prick was he :p Glad he wasn't with us for too long.

<3 You know I adore you so don't fucking report me!

Reee-fucking-ported! :D <3

What do you think I should ask my bL username to be changed to?

Right now? You don't wanna know.

What's wrong with 'kate' anyhow? It suits you. I prefer your real first name, but obviously that just won't do.

Just be careful picking a name, as you might end up with one you have little recollection of how you arrived at and is too fiddly to type, and thus end up having an identity crisis when people call you 'Sam' all the time. On the other hand, a bit of separation can be comforting. I wouldn't know what I'm talking about anyhow, so go with your gut.

Ock I'm just going through one of those funny identity stages guys, ignore.

kates such a shite username nearly as awful alasdairm =D

people wonder why this place has gone quiet and thats because EADD needs more high people and less judgemental self righteous bell ends(although there only a small minority)

the trouble with writing on the internet its hard to tell what way to take things are more often than not someone always takes something the wrong way, somebody gets banned and it gets to the point people are scared to say anything in case it offends someone.

i think it was only last night that Chatative commeneted that Gibberings was moving so fast that he couldnt keep up. It's really strange the completely unpredictable elements of who is going to be online at any one time, and whether things will take off or not. FWIW i think its for the best for people to be honest rather than scared of saying something incase they offend someone, if people are too easily offended by online comments then they need to grow a thicker skin. The comments will either be true or false, in which case it either has to be acknowledged or dismissed. It only tends to cause offence if its the first time someone has been made aware of something they were previously blind to:?

I rather like usernames which can be used as actual names. I only have to find ways to make less obviously namey ones sound namey otherwise. Am rather fond of kate - suits your character somehow and also has the potentially handy effect of sounding like a given name whilst also not being so. If anybody wanted to track down "kate from Scotchland" you'd be pretty well down the list. Although I do have my suspicions that you do indeed reside in Scotchland :sus:

i honestly thought Kate was your real name, and given that there are a number of Kates you'd feel just as safely anonymous as if you called yourself John.

Na, its not quite, Very few folk here know my real name. I thought I'd actually said to you in pm, but maybe not.

Funnily enough I did an internet search on my various "pseudonyms" because I was concerned potential employers would have a look, and nothing much came up. Loads from my current job but nothing dodgy...*sighs with relief* I have a few because of the marriage and whatnot

Still I fancy a new BL name, fickle n' what not. I fancy a change. Not sure why because I'm sure this lapse won't last too long...

what about ShambleSis?

My username is completely synthetic, courtesy of Kota Laboratories. And I might change my location soon. 'Noia.

what does FWIW mean? it just seems to me that its not that there are less people than there used to be but not enough diversity in here, it needs more people from different backgrounds and opinions instead of the same old usual stuff you see on here.

MDB, your thoughts have been so close to mine recently it's like we're becoming the same person (lucky you ;)). Unless something is an obvious, repetitive personal attack then getting upset about online comments is ridiculous. I just say whatever the fuck I'm thinking and am a sarcastic cunt 90% of the time, which a few people will know completely doesn't reflect how I am in real life so er... yes, take internet stuff with a generous pinch of salt methinks. I do, I couldn't give a shit what people say about me online.

having an identity crisis when people call you 'Sam' all the time.

Wait, I may be a bit drunk and confused but Sam isn't actually your name?! Mindfuck.

Most people still don't seem to realise that Summer is actually my name but I don't care much anyway. I'd be easy to stalk probably but I'm boring enough that if anyone really bothers I think they'd be rather disappointed.

Most of the time at least. ;)

I feel a bit pissed off and worried, hope everyone else is having a finer night than I. Off to watch the last episode of series 2 Supernatural though now, EXCITING. Would very much recommend, brilliant series.

for what its worth i guess 'birds of a feather flock together' and so you end up with a broadly like minded set of people. There is still a lot of diversity and differences of opinion though imo. I agree that the 30 or so EADD losses due to walk-outs, bans or far worse reasons over the last couple of years has reduced the diversity of peoples backgrounds, outlooks, and opinions though.

Kota, I actually googled your name as if I'd missed out on some kind of reference, and was led down a blind alley. So congratulations. ;)

And that's just normal behaviour from me, so relax. I'm not coming to chop you up, I swear.

I just read the last few pages to get the latest and get engaged in the conversation.

.....what the fuck was I thinking :D
