This is honestly a curious question. I am distancing myself from this guy (it's a long story) But it resulted me in friend zoning him, or at least that's what he felt. It's similar to the other guy I was talking about (Kevin), but this guy is kinda odd too. He doesn't talk to me, he doesn't call or text me ever. I don't talk to him either. I honestly haven't talked or seen him in 3 months. Out of the blue I hear a knock expecting it to be my sister, but it was him. When I don't speak to him for long periods of time I notice he'll unexpectedly show up at my doorstep. He talks more to my parents than me, he asked what I was doing, and I said I had to go to school. My dad asked when I was going to be home, and I said "I probably won't be home tonight dad" And (random dude) said "Who?" "Who's house are you staying at?" And my dad said "Oh she is probably going to sleep at her partner's house because they are doing a big project for her college. She's all stressed about it" And I noticed he was silent when my dad said that. He chatted with my dad a bit more and left. It was pointless and weird. He does this all the time. I am just wondering if a guy does this to "check up" on a girl? Or if it's stalker trait? Something else? I find it all to be strange!

if you're friends with him it wouldn't be that weird but it sounds like u don't want to be friends with him, he doesn't communicate with u, maybe he's in the neighbourhood and bored

OP sounds a bit weird to me. don't know the backstory between you and dude, but IMO just showing up at someones house unexpectedly is totally uncalled for in this day of infinite ways to get ahold of someone. especially in the case of a person who is not your significant other.
has the guy contacted you and you have been ignoring him? that's a good hint to stop talking to you I think, and if he just shows up at your house after being ignored that is not a good sign.

He may just want to see you, or he may like talking to your family. As long as he's not showing up with duct tape at 2 Am you're probably good. PM me with a back story or post it? Seems like no threat at the time. I show up randomly to hang out with friend's family. Hell the most popular kid in my high school would do that all the time. Probably ought not to worry lass.

Perhaps he assumes that because your friendly with him, he can behave as friends do. But if you are not comfortable with his drop in's, simply tell him rather than label him a stalker in training as that is not a nice thing to do to someone who simply wishes to know your fine.

If you have been friends in the past, and you have not been clear about you not wanting his friendship any more, i don’t think its weird that he will come to your door to ask what's you've been up to.

Well I have been ignoring him, and not talking to him. He doesn't contact me it's weird. I don't contact him either, but he'll just show up randomly and talk for a little bit and then leave and it's pointless, and weird. I am not close enough with him anymore for him to do that. It's just weird but thank you for commenting!
Hahaha! Yeah, I see what you mean! He's not close enough to me though to just randomly show up. I don't really consider him as a friend, so it is a bit weird to me. If he was then it wouldn't be an issue. It's weird because it seems that I am bothersome to him most of the time, and I back off, and I don't speak to him for awhile and then he'll do weird things like showing up unexpectedly.
