Benzo the most like Valium?

It sounds like although prescribed for 12 yrs, he doesn't take it on the daily-- maybe not even weekly

this is how. I rarely even need it weekly a lot of the time. Sometimes i take it two days in a row.

taking any benzos at all is going to increase ur tolerance to any other benzo. I would'nt concern yourself as long as u keep the Ativan use low.

to the OP - this is true. If valium works for you, you should just take it sparingly. As stated before, taking another 'valiumesque' benzo isn't going to keep your benzo tolerance any lower for when you need it for surgery.

etizolam is a little too hard hitting and short-lived. i found flubromazepam to be very similar.

^^yep, thats the beauty and the curse of etiz, it hits hard within minutes but leaves within a few hours..

I have no problem with any benzos (I have tried) becoming Moreish for me. I won't play w fire and will just stick w Ativan except presurgery .

Good choice. Because if you play with fire (Benzos) you could get burnt... Fatally!
