Is there any other eadders on non - RC decent drugs atm like acid xtc coke or owt or am i the last of the mohicans on that front?

Sorry mdb didnt mean to come off as a superior twat its just rc's like meph mxe and methylone got banned now its just an analogue and changed chem structure to skirt the law. Didnt mean any offense im not prentending to be black or an authority on drugs im just oldskool. Im firmly living in the real world lol

Hi all, back for a while after sorting some family stuff. Have I missed much?

Btw, thanks for all the concerned PMs whilst I was away... :|
welcome back.. if its any consolation i did ask about you in Gibs sometime back..

Hows the codeine stuff going?

@ed- im sticking to the old faithfuls still, twas only last week i was in an ecstatic acidic bliss... i forgot just how lovely that combo is..

I could see the music vibrating through the air... arrrhhh.. was nice, might be the last time i do that though, was kind of a farewell session

Btw MDB ur a bit older than me and you mentioned going to the '91 to '92 raves so i respect your pov and opinions. My actual 1st rave was in 1994 when i was just 15 so im oldskool tryin in vain to relive those glory days :)

Just managing to stay alive a bit longer doesnt merit any special respect, its mostly been down to sheer luck i think. ;) But thanks anyway. I think im also trying in vain to relive my glory days, it should be dawning on me by now, thats its just not possible to have a second youth, no matter how hard you might try, but it seems to be taking quite a while for the penny to drop. 8(

I'd give a limb to have experienced the glory days of the rave scene - sadly I wasn't even born until '94 so all I have ever had is the tales from those who were there. :)

I can't even recall the last time I took any RCs, I did do a little bit of mephedrone and while back..made me hurl...as usual :D

I'm strictly on the NHS's finest morphine, my current incapacitated state precludes any of Holland's finest amphetamine

Those tales are almost all BS :sus:

Agree with all of that^
you have my respect cos you were there in the old rave days that instantly upgrades you in my eyes as one 'who knows the score' about the excitment surrounding those days and unless dr who lends me his tardis theres not much chance of going back. Well im 35 i collected all the early 90's rare and classic house/trance/rave tunes. Used to sit in when my older pals dj'ed on pirate rave radio stations in 94 to 95 so im a bit obsessed!

@allein

i promise you none of my posts above are BS
my pal anto obrien was station manager on sunset 107fm in 95 he has a easily googled online profile which backs up all my claims about his rave credentials

I've only got a few bits of vinyl, I sold a fair few that I had no attachment to at the hight of the Ebay prices. I tried my hand at DJing a bit but used CDs, I was shite so strictly a bedroom affair really :)

I've got Gigs of vinyl rips though mainly sourced from people I knew from back in the day, great times but I don't buy into all that 'it was better in 91' BS, there were those back then that said it was 'better in 87' ....

Then there'll be those who'll say the best time to have had your youth was 76-78 or 66-69 . It would be quite handy to have a time travel machine that could not only time travel but also deduct 25 years off your life, and then we could all experience all the eras and scenes first hand, at the peak of our youths when everything was exciting and anything seemed possible. You can get away with so much more in your late teens / early twenties than you can as middle age dawns upon you.

I was gonna say - when I was a yoof, we dreamed of growing up in '76. :D

Seems odd to find younger people romanticising an era which you clearly remember, but then I guess my dad felt the same way whenever I asked him what the sixties were like (his answer: "fucking crap").

I never attended a rave, or even thought about it for a second, because by the early nineties, 'rave music' (as it was genuinely referred to back then) was chart pop music, and thus the preserve of scallies in the main. There were a few non-scally kids who liked it, but they were few and far between. I reckon a lot of them pretended to like it for fear of being bullied or something.

The press declared 'guitar music' (bit vague, eh?) to be dead and buried. You were laughed at for owning a guitar. Then by the time Oasis came around, all the scallies hopped on that train, wanting to be your mate because you had a guitar.

Guess you could say the same about punk though. Psychedelia too. A few pioneers and then a shitload of rubbish in their wake.

I don't doubt you for a moment ed, the local pirate station here in the 90s was a great listen, I've got a tape somewhere. How they managed to operate the equipment in the drug addled state they were clearly in I'll never know, alway going on about going into the kitchen to lay on their backs with their legs in the air :?

The best time you'll have in your you will almost certainly be between the ages of 15-25 ;) %)
